Job Description

  • Design and develop data models, reports and dashboards for internal business partners.
  • Create and maintain report documentation.
  • Collaborate with BI team members to move projects forward.
  • Building out Power BI reports and paginated reporting.
  • Create complex calculations using DAX/MDX language.
  • Actively participate in weekly meetings with project managers and the business.
  • Promote use of new metrics and data visualization tools/techniques.
  • Perform ad-hoc queries/reports to provide support for special initiatives and business unit needs.
  • Follow best practices and standards around data governance, security and privacy.
  • Leverage tools like dbt, Snowflake, Power BI, SQL and Python to drive efficient analytics.


Qualifications

  • Advanced understanding of data modeling, data warehousing and reporting concepts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated analytical ability
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in the use of spreadsheets, graphing, and presentations with a working knowledge of financial, sales and operations models
  • Strong communications skills and ability to collaborate with a team
  • Able to manage multiple projects and pivot when needed
  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
  • 4+ years of experience utilizing SQL.
  • 4+ years of experience utilizing data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Sigma etc.
  • 4+ years of professional experience with Power BI, Report Builder, DAX
  • 4+ years of providing analytical insights and developing summary decks to senior leadership.
  • 4+ years of experience designing and building data models for reporting and self-service analytics
  • Experience with Snowflake, dbt and subscription analytics would be a big plus
  • Knowledge of Sigma or any Self Service tool a plus.
  • Knowledge of Heroku Postgres, Heroku Connect and Salesforce highly preferred.
