As a Security DevOps Engineer, a typical day might include the following:

• Securely bringing planet-scale services into production and keeping them running with high availability.
• Deploying and managing systems to enable end-to-end encrypted meetings for end users, as well as internal platforms to enable secure deployments throughout Zoom.
• Architecting how to deploy applications securely with maximum automation, and helping design how to best keep the lights on.
• Designing and maintaining security infrastructure and continuously driving the organization toward better standards.

You have experience with or are excited to learn:

• Writing production backend applications in any language
• Shipping and running services in cloud environments, with a focus on AWS
• Understanding of how cloud services can be secured, and you are able to articulate to others how they can better achieve best practices
• Cryptography and PKI, especially as it pertains to TLS/SSL
• Passion for automation

Technologies our team works with:

• Python / Go (Golang) / C++ / Java
• IaC - Terraform, CloudFormation, etc
• Microservice architecture & orchestration - Kubernetes / K8S / ECS
• Secret / credential management - HashiCorp Vault
• Cryptography / PKI - SSL, TLS certificate management
• Access Control Policy / RBAC
• Linux / Unix system administration
• Bash or shell scripting
• Proficiency in Mandarin preferred
