Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs maintenance and changes in Cisco firewalls (ASA, Firepower platforms) as required.
- Implementation of new firewalls as required
- Assists with troubleshooting network connectivity as it relates to firewalls
- Configuration and maintenance of Cisco VPN technology
- Utilizes change management, request, and ticketing systems, documents status updates and problem resolutions
- Completes network change requests
- Maintains documentation related to work area
- Follows documented processes, procedures and policies
- Performs customer service duties and responds to customer and project requests as defined by management
- Complete all assignments in a timely manner with an acceptable level of quality
- Other related duties assigned as needed.
Minimum Qualifications of Position:
- Typically requires a bachelor's degree in related field and a minimum of 2 years of related experience. A combination of post-high school education, job related certification and related experience equivalent to 5 years may be considered in lieu of minimum requirements.
Preferred Qualifications of Position:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other technical field
Knowledge and Skills:
- Hands-on experience with Cisco Firewalls (ASA and Firepower Platforms)
- Professional Level understanding and hands-on experience with TCP/IP and routing
- Hands-on experience with Network Monitoring tools such as Solar Winds
- Good understanding of network and server virtualization
- Experience providing recommendation to optimize network security operation and performance
- Cloud architecture and security knowledge would be a plus
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Work is performed in an office environment with moderate noise levels and light to heavy traffic. An individual in this position:
- Frequently remains stationary throughout a typical business day
- Frequently operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer
- Occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, and other rooms
- Occasionally positions self to access drawers and shelves of various heights
- Frequently reaches for and handles paperwork and files
- Occasionally moves, carries and shifts inventory in storage areas, and within HQ and at branch locations
- Constantly communicates with customers, coworkers, and management in-person and on the phone
- Must be able to exchange accurate information
