Position Description
The Manager, Carrier Relations is accountable for a broad scope of functional areas within Zayo in developing strategies and tactics to maximize and manage the value received for expenditure with the ILECs, CAPs, CableCOs, CLECs, and independent telephone companies (Access Providers). This involves establishing and maintaining effective vendor working business relationships through the joint development and management of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Service Delivery and Assurance activities.

- Maintain Vendor Contact information
- Google Doc for all Vendor Contacts, Zcons (current vendor MSAs)- used by all SDCs and SE’s today
- Cross Connect charges
- ETL
- Access Sites and SLAs( 400+ vendors)
- Building Lists added to Database
- Price Sheets
- Ordering procedures
- Escalation POC for SDCs, SE’s and Billing Team
- Optimization ( Lit and Dark)
- Renewal Pricing Negotiation
- Network Optimization Savings- Working with Optimization team
- Quoting
- Wavelengths
- Dark Fiber
- Access Management
- Site access for Field Operations- Datacenter
- Portal access for SDC, NCC and Billing teams
- Expense Builder process/Docusign
- Confirm EBs match Vendor Orders
- Governing Contract is linked for reporting and SLA compliance
- Get orders signed by PG Lead and sent to SDC to Manage to completion
- Tranzact Plan- Canadian and Domestic
- Load Building lists and standard pricing into Tranzact
- Work process with Tranzact team
- M&A work
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3 Years Telecom experience
- Regulatory experience to identify new tariff filings and proper documentumentation
- Experience with Salesforce
- Must be proficient in Excel
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and time management skills are required
- Strong sense of teamwork
- Candidates must possess excellent analytical, judgment and decision making skills with the ability to adapt to change
- Ability to manage a high-volume workload efficiently and effectively
- High Energy individual with strong work ethic
- Must be a self-motivator
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to multi-task
