 SearchSpring is looking for a Director/VP of Sales (depending on experience) to lead our Sales Organization through our next phase of growth. We are in an exciting phase of the business where we have 8+ years of positive brand recognition, a new innovative product roadmap, exceptional results and new positioning ready to be packaged and sold to retail/eCommerce customers. As Director/VP of Sales you will be responsible for building and leading a 5-7 person sales organization to meet and exceed our aggressive sales goals and company objectives. Paramount to the position is an ability to provide strong sales leadership and foster seamless teamwork in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment; resulting in meeting sales and customer success goals. This opportunity is ideal for a builder and a SaaS Sales Veteran who is not afraid to roll their sleeves up and has built teams, processes and revenue streams that have exceeded plans and goals. 

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

•  Meet and exceed established aggressive sales and revenue plan goals.

•  Drive the team’s prospecting and partnering activities to build pipeline to exceed plan.

•  Define the processes, tracking and workflow for all relevant activities, calls, and opportunities in Nutshell.

•  Manage the sales pipeline and forecast bookings accurately to the executive team and team members. You must be transparent and able to develop solutions if you are not going to meet your plan/goals.

• Achieve hiring objectives by recruiting, hiring, training, and empowering your sales team

• Lead, coach and motivate your sales team to exceed sales goals.

• Drive campaigns and lead generation efforts in close collaboration with marketing, product marketing and customer success.

•  Grow strategic alliances and partnerships with eCommerce platforms, Agencies and other potential revenue streams.

• Manage operating budgets by keeping expenditures in line with our budgets.

• Keep abreast of products, market conditions, competitive activities and industry trends.

• Identify new, emerging revenue streams to continue to fuel the rapid growth of the business.

• Represent SearchSpring with your team at tradeshows and regional events.

QUALIFICATIONS:

•  BA in business, MBA is not required but will be helpful.

• 8+ years of enterprise software sales experience in an individual contributor and management role, including 3+ years sales management experience.

• Proven success in meeting sales plans and building teams in a high growth environment.

• Solid understanding of the retail, eCommerce, platform and partner space.

• Strong network of potential sales, channel and BD staff that you can pull from to effectively build your team.

• Experience successfully selling enterprise technology solutions with ARR values of $30K-$200K+ for retail and eCommerce market segments.

• A high-energy multi-tasker that can engage and inspire with strong communication skills for internal and external stakeholders

• Hands-on leader and coach who can provide both direction and autonomy to team members and act as an individual contributor when needed.

• Proven ability to drive key growth metrics centered on revenue, market penetration, and company profile.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent presence with strong presentation and listening skills.

This role with report into the CRO at SearchSpring.
