York Space Systems is seeking a proactive, enthusiastic self-starter to join our Business Development and Proposal Team. The ideal candidate for this role is a person who can work both collaboratively and independently to complete projects diligently within a fast-paced environment.
As an internal-facing Strategic Proposal Coordinator, you will coordinate contract change proposals that meet the needs of both York Space Systems and our valuable clients. You will support complex and technical bids, including helping to execute multi-volumed proposals. You will gain detailed knowledge of York’s programs, capabilities, products, and processes, to support providing our clients with top-notch solutions tailored to meet their needs.
This position reports directly to the Capture Solutions Manager on the Capture and Proposal Operations (CaPO) team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Gain an understanding of York’s capabilities and effectively communicate about the solutions to meet the client's evolving needs.
- On significant proposal efforts, assume responsibility to:
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions on York’s win strategy and discriminators
- Collaborate with members of various internal organizations to gather pertinent technical, schedule, and pricing information
- Complete compliance checks against the proposal requirements
- Edit internal presentations, proposal documents, and other materials
- Follow York’s contract change proposal process. Work cross-functionally with the York Contracts POC, the PM, and the program execution team to deliver solutions that best meet customer and company needs with regards to all aspects: scope, price, schedules, terms, payments, etc.
- Clearly communicate scope, schedule, and price impacts of requested contract changes.
- Ensure consistency and quality across York change proposals.
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with the York business development team, finance team, program execution team, etc. to extrapolate timely internal correspondence and responses to clients to demonstrate York’s responsiveness and customer satisfaction. Ensure cross-functional alignment.
- Maintain accurate information in internal proposal and change proposal management tools.
- Work internally to ensure deadlines for customer proposals, change proposals, clarification request responses, RFI or ROM responses are met.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills including public speaking and presentations
- Work independently as a self-starter committed to delivering the highest customer service, quality, and results
- Self-driven work ethic without ego; does what is necessary to support team success
- Experience with multi-discipline solutioning
- Experience and demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective internal, cross-functional business relationships
- Executive presence—the ability to show confidence, poise, and leadership in any room
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Bachelor's Degree
- United States Citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal Government Security Clearance required. Current Active Security Clearance highly desired.
