SKYDEX Technologies, Inc. is looking for a Strategic Account Manager with 6+ years practicing strategic account management in an engineered-product sales environment. Our technology is engineered polymer structures that provide impact, cushioning, and vibration mitigation in high performance applications: from protective body padding to boat and vehicle decking surfaces. Your external sales contacts will be engineers, senior product development managers, and procurement managers.

Your internal team will include relationships with marketing, engineering, and operations. We have a flat and interactive management structure where everyone is asked to bring solutions and value at every position.

This role will manage product sales into military contracts, existing accounts and further develop new contacts in growing markets. Specific knowledge of some of the following areas is preferred:

  • Engineered plastic products
  • Military, Government and Law Enforcement procurement
  • Military vehicles

This role will be responsible for a range of sales activities, including:

  • Developing or enhancing SKYDEX ’s exposure in 3-4 distinct markets
  • Presenting technology solutions to customers that have a mid to long range product cycle
  • Working within military procurement organizations to identify and capture long and short-term government/military contracts
  • Close management of existing SKYDEX corporate accounts, including current and new product introduction
  • Coordinating product-to-sales cycles with the internal engineering and operations groups.

This is a multi-faceted sales position that involves working in an engineering-oriented internal structure, while effectively managing multiple, intricate customer projects with various timelines and product goals. Required skills include:

  • Solid organizational, time-management and follow-up skills
  • Strong grasp of engineering concepts and the ability to translate our technology to customer applications.
  • Experience in presenting to all levels of an organization
  • Proven practice and achievement in generating new sales from existing and potential customer accounts

Additional Requirements Include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree OR significant work experience as an equivalent
  • Distinct progression in career path, showing multiple progressive levels of responsibility
  • Proven ability to identify new markets, meet sales goals, and maintain customer satisfaction
  • Familiarity with CRM Systems and project management processes
