The Strategic Account Director is responsible for successful execution of the full sales cycle, from prospecting, cold calling, and building a pipeline to presentation and product demonstration, proposal, close, and client project execution. Our office is headquartered in Denver, but we're looking for an employee to work remotely in-field. 

Primary Objectives:

  • Achieve or exceed quota for new and repeat / strategic accounts (F500)
  • Maintain high activity levels / sufficient pipeline coverage
  • Set client expectations so that GutCheck achieves high customer satisfaction
  • Direct the work of the Inside Sales Representatives
  • Live up to the standards of our employee culture 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Clearly articulates positioning statement, point of differentiation, agile research, and specific differentiation versus traditional online research communities; with and without slides
  • Prepares and conducts demos without help
  • Understands how to map and size subscriptions to meet high level research objectives, capability requirements, and budget requirements
  • Not afraid to negotiate terms that meet both client’s and GutCheck’s objectives
  • Recognizes strategic accounts representing largest potential, recurring spend with GutCheck
  • Understands budget authority and thresholds 
  • Working knowledge of a consultative sales / solution-selling methodology (eg, Miller-Heiman)
  • Gets customer to share details of their processes, vendors the currently use, pain points associated with these processes / vendors
  • Exceptional presentation skills both in person and over the phone.

Job Requirements:

  • Strong time management and multitasking skills with a demonstrated ability to manage a large number of leads, contacts, accounts and opportunities in a CRM system (Salesforce), quickly and accurately.
  • A “hunter and gather” sales mentality with a documented history of being able to meet and/or exceed aggressive sales quotas and objectives on a weekly basis.
  • A self-starter with a demonstrated ability to sell a product with an average price point of $100k+ per transaction.
  • Proven ability to navigate complex organizations to find decision makers, champions, and key stake holders while creating strong relationships at every level.
  • General knowledge of marketing practices and basic market research techniques.
  • Thrives in a fast paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Professional yet casual selling style.

Education and Experience:

  • 4 year college Degree; MBA preferred.
  • Consistently in Top 5% of sales performers in previous positions.
  • Successful track record selling research or research-enabled solutions to Fortune 500 accounts
  • Any of the following experience profiles are being sought:
    • 8-10 years of enterprise sales experience working for innovative, technology-intensive market research vendors; or
    • 8-10 years of enterprise sales experience at a national ad agency, ad / media network, or product innovation consultancy where online market research was an integral part of the solution offering; or
    • 3+ years of enterprise sales experience in any of the above preceded by 5+ years spent on the client side in a brand marketing and/or consumer insights role(s)
