We are currently searching for a Senior Accountant who is a team player, willing to be hands-on, able to manage a wide variety of tasks on a daily basis, and able to consistently meet month-end close deadlines.

Position Summary:

* Performs activities involving the organization's accounting function.

* Primary responsibilities include reviewing sales orders for proper revenue treatment, VSOE testing, AR batch reviews before posting, sales tax filings, commissions, and completing month-end balance sheet reconciliations.

* Responsible for certain aspects of the treasury function and assists with internal and external reporting.

Job Responsibilities:

* Review sales orders to ensure proper revenue treatment. Includes evaluating the proper carve out of license revenue vs support revenue, and related VSOE testing.

* Review and post receivable and payable batches to ensure transactions are accurately coded.

* Performs, reviews and completes certain month-end close procedures and reconciliations; including but not limited to revenue, deferred revenue, accounts receivable and sales tax payable.

* Ensure that financial transactions are correctly recorded through the general ledger in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.

* General ledger and external reporting maintenance and consolidation for multi-level, international company structure.

* Assists accounting organization in maintaining all financial records of the Company and subsidiaries, in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and company policy.

* Works closely with Controller, Assistant Controller, other accounting staff and salespeople providing reports, analysis and other ad-hoc deliverables.

* Identify opportunities for process improvements and then drive the implementation of the solution.

* Effectively manage and execute on additional special projects as required.

Required Experience / Education:

* Minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounting related roles

* Intermediate to advanced Excel skills

* Experience with Great Plains, Management Reporter, Microsoft Dynamics CRM or other ERP or accounting and CRM systems and exporting reporting tools

* Strong experience with general ledger account reconciliations as well as reviewing sub-ledger detail

* Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance

Preferred Experience:

* Experience in the software industry or high technology sector

* Experience with international accounting processes

* Software revenue, including knowledge of VSOE
