What You Will Do in This Role: The Sales Operations Specialist works under the general direction of the Director of Global Sales Operations, supporting the field sales teams in the NA Region.

This role is the first line of support for salespeople while navigating Spectralink processes, and acts as a trusted advisor on Salesforce.com, forecasting and discounting. This role also directly supports our channel distributors with inventory planning, and indirectly supports our resellers with deal registrations and discounts.

Analytics and data stewardship are an important part of this role. The Sales Operations Specialist ensures data integrity in Salesforce.com by monitoring the interconnected business processes as reflected in accounts, opportunities, approved discounts, and point of sale data.

Business Operations

  • Perform vital Deal Desk responsibilities regarding discount approvals and communication to distributors and resellers. This duty will have a heavy emphasis on channel price modelling and advising sales on discount options.
  • Go-to resource for sales teams regarding internal policy questions and training on new processes 
  • Directly collaborate with distributors on forecasting and inventory planning

Analytics

  • Produce high quality analytics on sales KPIs to track productivity, forecast accuracy, and pipeline growth.
  • Maintain reports and dashboards in Salesforce.com and Einstein Analytics
  • Support business initiatives with actionable reporting that leads to outcomes like pipeline growth, successful product launches, or supports channel program changes.

Salesforce.com

  • Maintain a fierce accuracy of forecast data quality regarding correct pricing approvals, product line and distribution channels.
  • Drive continuous process improvement by gathering sales feedback and collaborating with the SFDC admin to implement updates
  • Be the trusted advisor for sales users through the transition from Classic to Lightning
  • Occasional salesforce administration of standard processes like email templates, data loader, and page layouts.

 Skills and Experience we’d like you to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business or related discipline and/or equivalent years of industry related experience.
  • 3+ years industry related experience with sales operations, customer support, or finance required.
  • Advanced proficiency in Salesforce.com and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and provide independent, accurate results.  Must be highly quantitative and analytical.
  • Requires well developed data analysis skills and ability to use principles of logic to generate results.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workflow with ability to manage several simultaneous projects.
