Sales Operations Manager
ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Udemy for Business (UFB) Revenue Operations team’s mission is to enable all go-to-market teams to scale and grow top line revenue efficiently. The team supports our mission by delivering the process and information flows that drive the entire customer journey optimization, promoting cross-functional alignment, overseeing resource and performance planning, refining key processes to increase efficiencies, and adopting best-in-class tools and technologies to support the entire UFB go-to-market universe from lead generation to customer invoicing.
The ideal candidate will require a strong understanding of SaaS, needs to be experienced in Sales Operations and have a strong understanding/interest in the other parts of the business, especially Marketing and Customer Success. You need to be data-driven, detail-oriented, customer-focused, business-minded, and intellectually curious. You understand how impactful data can be in determining the right strategy, and how important smooth operations are to executing that strategy. You roll up your sleeves, but also thrive in building teams in highly dynamic environments while implementing the necessary processes and tools to advance best practices for our organization.
Here's what you'll be doing:
- Own and govern territory management for North America, including headcount, organizational structure, territory and account planning for todayʼs organization and growth for the next 2-5 years.
- Partner with the sales and marketing leadership team on the inbound lead flow process – own ensuring an optimized process is in place.
- Work with our EMEA Sales Operations team to optimize SFDC functionality and help create a roadmap for SFDC and potential future products/integrations.
- Determine the right success metrics that drive business outcomes across sales and build & maintain SFDC dashboards to manage those metrics.
- Forecasting: Work with the sales teams to ensure we have a predictable business.
- Pipeline Health: Implement effective governance to ensure a healthy pipeline in maintained.
- Maintain data integrity by identifying and fixing data abnormalities and instilling data quality standards across all data related activities e.g. list pulls, list uploads, etc.
- Monitor the performance of account & pipeline growth, identifying areas for business development.
- Execution: Manage day-to-day operational tasks, including but not limited to SFDC database quality and optimization of the Sales execution workflow. Rigorous measurement of the business, including a keen eye towards helping answer the question “what should we measure” rather than leading a reporting function.
- Work closely with management and other stakeholders to ensure core systems are robust and deliver key insights across sales.
- Regularly assess the sales tool road map to identify scalable solutions to meet current and future business needs.
- Establish yourself as a cross functional resource to identify, design and implement business processes that increase sales productivity and remove bottlenecks.
- Help inspect weekly forecast and work with AEs to constantly improve SFDC hygiene.
We’re excited about you because you have:
- 2+ years experience in a Sales Operations role
- Experience working closely with senior sales leaders in a SaaS B2B business
- Salesforce mastery: complex dashboards and reports, custom report types, calculated fields, workflows.
- Familiarity with Salesforce CPQ, or other CPQ or Q2C tools.
- Operational experience with Marketo and Salesforce and the flow of data between them.
- Exceptional quantitative and MS Excel skills (sumifs, index/match and vlookup, table formulas).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. You can hold a meeting with directors and VP’s.
- Get-it-done mindset: not afraid to roll up your sleeves, getting into the data and analyses yourself, and doing what it takes to get the job done - while also thinking and acting at a strategic level.
