Sales Development Representative

The Sales Development role is a critical entry level sales position where you will be performing outreach to cold prospects. The right candidate will be one who works well under pressure, thinks out-of-the-box, easily initiates informative two-way phone conversations with prospects, and is highly self-motivated. SDRs will work with Licensed Agents to produce opportunity pipeline and qualified meetings. In this role, you will learn the skill set needed to transition into a Licensed Agent.
What You'll Do
- Engage and qualify cold prospects via outbound call and email activity
- Educate prospects on Pie Insurance
- Set hard appointments for the Licensed Agent to follow up and gain the business
- Pre-assess risk by researching prospects online presence
- Manage and maintain your pipeline
- Collaborate with sales and marketing team members on strategic sales approach
- Continuous education to increase industry knowledge
What You'll Need
- 1 year of experience in sales or a customer facing phone based role, or applicable experience desired
- Strong and professional communication skills -- written and verbal
- Promotes a strong sense of urgency for reaching goals and key deliverables. Acts without being told what to do. Brings new ideas to the company
