The Sales Development role is a critical entry level sales position where you will be performing outreach to cold prospects. The right candidate will be one who works well under pressure, thinks out-of-the-box, easily initiates informative two-way phone conversations with prospects, and is highly self-motivated. SDRs will work with Licensed Agents to produce opportunity pipeline and qualified meetings. In this role, you will learn the skill set needed to transition into a Licensed Agent. 

What You'll Do

  • Engage and qualify cold prospects via outbound call and email activity
  • Educate prospects on Pie Insurance
  • Set hard appointments for the Licensed Agent to follow up and gain the business
  • Pre-assess risk by researching prospects online presence
  • Manage and maintain your pipeline
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing team members on strategic sales approach
  • Continuous education to increase industry knowledge

What You'll Need

  • 1 year of experience in sales or a customer facing phone based role, or applicable experience desired
  • Strong and professional communication skills -- written and verbal
  • Promotes a strong sense of urgency for reaching goals and key deliverables. Acts without being told what to do. Brings new ideas to the company
  • Drive, Grit, Team Oriented: strong desire to compete and win
  • Fearlessness - willing to hop on the phone with new people every single day and explain Pie’s value proposition as it relates to each individual you speak with
