Galvanize teaches web development, data science, and data engineering to students, offers support and workspace to over 700 member companies, and provides over 200 networking events across eight urban campuses throughout the nation. Galvanize campuses bring together entrepreneurs, students, investors, mentors, and great people and companies to develop the skills, mindset, and networks necessary to thrive in a technology driven world.
The Program Advisor should be a hunter with a track record of successful, organized, consistent, and credible lead follow-up. Somebody with sales development experience and the ability to close sales over the phone.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prospect, educate and qualify leads to create sales-ready opportunities for the Galvanize campus admissions teams.
- Counsel prospective students on understanding the value and commitment of a Galvanize education program.
- Successfully uncover and overcome prospect objections.
- Quickly build rapport and follow-up with potential students where necessary, in order to pre-qualify the prospective students.
- Ability to quickly master internal tools housing customer account information.
- Utilize a consistent contact attempt process via phone, email and SMS to quickly move prospects through appropriate funnels.
- Coordinate across multiple teams to create, implement, track, and iterate upon a communications plan for prospective students.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of Outbound Sales, preferred experience with high-ticket items.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- A highly motivated, team-oriented, positive attitude with the ability to quickly bounce back from a setback.
- Extremely goal-oriented with the ability to focus on the task at hand.
- Able to clearly communicate technical concepts to prospects whose technical backgrounds can range, i.e. from experienced web developer to extreme novice.
- The ability to multitask while holding a conversation.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Previous experience with Salesforce.com strongly preferred, but not required.
- Undergraduate degree, preferred but not required.
