What You Will Do

We are seeking an energetic and motivated leader to manage and mentor our SDR (Sales Development Rep) team at Alchemer.  SDRs are the first point of contact for the sales team; primarily tasked with reaching out to prospects that do not know of us to pique their interest in our software solutions. Secondarily they will also be speaking to prospects we have reason to believe are interested in our services.

You will drive revenue growth by owning and optimizing the Alchemer Sales Lead-Management Process. This is a people management and leadership role focused on sales performance initiatives for the Sales Development (SDR) organization. The SDR Manager establishes and refines processes to create qualified sales opportunities. The SDR Manager leads a team of 3-5 individuals and reports to the SVP of Sales.

How You Will Spend Your Days

  • Lead and drive the activities of SDR/BDR sales team, including hiring, training, coaching, developing talent, team culture and performance management in a SaaS, and Software Bookings revenue environment.  
  • Build and refine Lead Management and reporting processes as part of continuous improvement efforts.
  • Actively partner with sales operations team to ensure all activities are effectively moved and tracked through the pipeline.
  • Maintain knowledge of and working understanding of the latest Sales Development (SDR) and Business Development tools, techniques, and methodologies.
  • Create and manage outbound multi-step cadences.
  • Monitor all SDR metrics including activities, personalization’s, emails, phone calls, etc. to ensure continuous improvement. Metrics will be monitored on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly basis.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to execute campaigns that ensure lead quality and quantity with proper closed-loop metric reporting.
  • Regularly report on team and individual results: pipeline, conversion rates, and quarterly performance.
  • Collaborate with internal sales and marketing operations stakeholders on reporting and analysis. Identify and make recommendations for improvement in sales productivity.
  • Collaborate with other internal organizations and coordinate internal resources as needed.
  • Ensure CRM tools and Alchemer selling methodologies are leveraged to process and track opportunities.
  • Direct the team with corporate goals and set performance management expectations and criteria for advancement of SDRs to other quota-carrying and cross-departmental roles inside Alchemer.
  • Encourage innovation by exchanging new ideas to improve operation and efficiency within sales and the supporting organizations.
  • Attract, hire, onboard and retain high performing Sales Development Representatives
  • Create an environment of continuous learning; teaching outbound prospecting best practices, content creation and personalization, how to build rapport over the phone, and proper qualification
  • Own and manage Sales Development performance goals and metrics and provide ongoing feedback to team members
  • Continually optimize prospect lists, messaging, discovery, and qualification criteria
  • Develop a strong understanding of Alchemer’s products, competitors and industry trends
  • Work closely with New Business and Growth managers to drive increased performance and understand pipeline needs for their teams
  • Work collaboratively with key internal stakeholders in Sales, Marketing, and Sales Operations to drive continuous improvement

What You Bring to this Role 

  • The SDR organization is a vital link between marketing and sales, and the SDR Manager must be able to plan, train, coach, and mentor team members, and supervise SDR staff.
  • At least 3-5+ years of SDR experience and 3-5+ years’ experience managing SDR/BDRs, specifically those in an outbound program. 
  • In-depth proficiency of Salesforce.com and SalesLoft as well as other key Marketing Automation technologies for lead management including Hubspot and other demand-gen tools such as ZoomInfo, etc.
  • This role has thorough knowledge of the organization’s products/services and can partner with marketing to execute campaigns, programs, and closed-loop business and sales development activities.
  • The SDR Manager also works closely with the entire Alchemer sales organization to ensure that SDR staff align to sales goals and segment objectives. 
  • This is a key leader in the sales organization; responsible for market development, setting targets, relationship development between marketing, products, finance, and the SDR team, and ensuring that opportunities & pipeline are generated.
  •  Strong understanding of sales qualification methodologies, including but not limited to, BANT, CHAMP, MEDDPICC, FAINT, MEDDIC.

Compensation for this position includes an annual base salary of $100,000 to $120,000, annual commission potential of up to $30,000 to $50,000, and participation in the Founder’s Pool program
