Overview:
As the Manager of Deal Desk you will lead the strategic direction of the Deal Desk Team based in Irvine and London which will support a fast-moving, high-performing sales team. The Deal Desk Team is responsible for processing incoming orders, ensuring compliance with policies, providing exceptional customer service, and communicating regularly with the sales team on order status. Our ideal candidate enjoys leadership, but isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty with their team as this will be a player-coach role.

You will manage the order cycle from sales to finance in a timely and accurate manner to ensure there is a smooth transition between systems, order acknowledgement, validation/integrity of orders, and making sure statements to customers are accurate. Establishing strong cross-functional relationships and collaboration with the Sales, Finance, and Customer Support teams is essential for this role.

Position is based in Irvine, CA and individuals will need to work on-site.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
* Ensure and invest in the success of the Global Order Management team through strong leadership, strategic direction and collaboration.
* Oversee entire ordering process from quote to order execution
* Anticipate and align to account team's business needs in successful execution of deals on a quarterly and annual basis.
* Contribute and assist team in processing orders when needed.
* Take ownership of supporting sales team and ensuring sales orders are closed efficiently.
* Point of contact for contract negotiations and internal deal issue resolution on behalf of the sales organization driving cross-functional collaboration.
* Adhere to Order Acceptance Policy and Contract Approval policy requirements, ensuring an appropriate order flow in compliance with Company policies.
* Contribute to sales achievements through solid partnership, efficient processes and effective communication with all sales teams.
* Ensure order quality by collaborating with Finance and corresponding teams to resolve invoice, purchase order and pricing issues.
* Uphold and promote customer-centric approach. Define behaviors and interactions, and establish standards and expectation of how external customers will experience Alteryx.
* Take ownership of customer master data, billing details, POs and related communication with the customer.
* Deliver reporting on overall customer satisfaction, identify trends and areas of opportunity in the customer experience and order management process.
* Accountable for outstanding customer service to all external and internal customers.
* Identify opportunities and initiatives to improve customer service and streamline order processing

Qualifications:
* Contracts Administration experience: reviewing standard and complex contracts, analyzing and assessing risk, and resolving contract conflicts
* Order management experience supporting a global, high-volume producing sales team
* 5+ years' experience in a people leadership capacity with demonstrated track record of driving results
* Strong verbal and written communication skills with associates at all levels and cross-functionally
* Maintain confidential information and ensure it is handled with sensitivity
* Detail oriented with strong analytical skills and decision-making ability
* Highly proficient in all applications of Microsoft Office including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet aggressive deadlines

Desired Skills & Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting from four-year college or university.
* Salesforce.com experience is strongly preferred
* Order management experience supporting a global, high-volume producing sales team
* Ability to be flexible with changing priorities
