International Defense & Intelligence Sales Manager- Latin America

The Latin America Sales Manager for Intl D&I is responsible for the promotion and sales of the Direct Access Program and other available geospatial solutions to Defense and Intelligence Organizations within LATAM, assigned territory or named accounts, and for developing sales strategies and plans for meeting assigned revenue targets through direct sales activities and managing indirect sales channels. Quota will be determined at hire date, but is expected to expand to $6M+ in 2019 and grow from there. The LATAM sales team will determine ways to divide the territory and will have specific named accounts ultimately approved by the General Manager, International D&I Sales.
Responsibilities
Learn and remain educated on DigitalGlobe’s unique product and service offerings (such as the Direct Access Program) for Defense Customers and Markets.
Identify & qualify new Defense business opportunities in assigned territory and communicate progress regularly with Sales Management.
Present product and company offerings to potential customers.
Learn customer decision and purchasing and procurement processes to help develop winning strategies.
Create professional business proposals in conjunction with Sales, Business Development and Product teams.
Create defined account plans annually to document sales strategies and support forecasted business.
With support from DG sales executives, negotiate contracts.
Proactively manage key named customer accounts with support from ASMs in Colorado.
Job Requirements
The role will be based in Latin America or Colorado, based on suitable candidate, reporting to the Director Intl D&I based in Colorado.
Five years or more successful track record selling ideas, technology and solutions to middle and upper management within government is a requirement.
Familiarity with remote sensing and GIS applications is preferred.
Experience in the Defense & Intelligence industry with knowledge of Defense organizations throughout LATAM is preferred.
Travel with in LATAM and internationally will be required.
Proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is required.

Initial Accounts & Responsibility
The focus for the Sales Manager will be to grow new business initiatives around DAP and non-DAP opportunities in LATAM initially that are key to meeting the 2018 and beyond revenue plan. Discussions with the IDI Sales & product leadership will be required to ensure that clear lines of responsibility will be established as a growing Defense Market is already in place primarily being served by resellers. The goal is to grow the business by having a dedicated Intl D&I Sales Manager focused on this key vertical market.
