Position Description

Reporting to the Sales Operations Manager, this position is responsible for supporting a variety of sales and services related programs, initiatives, and analytics across North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific. Candidates for this role must have experience manipulating large sets of data to discover trends and make recommendations. The role will work cross-functionally with multiple departments including sales, marketing, operations, finance, product, and IT to support the rollout and continued optimization of internal business needs. This position will make recommendations on best practices for internal Restaurant Sales and Service (RSS) systems and the related processes and training associated with them. The ideal candidate will be able to recognize and understand the relationship between clean data, clear & efficient processes, and reporting.

The Analyst level position is expected to have an excellent understanding of the OpenTable Sales and Services organization, or the ability to learn very fast . S/he must be able to navigate the roles, reporting, and reality of the business in the field. This position needs to have both excellent project management and data analysis skills.

Responsibilities
  • Advanced analytics to support global Restaurant Sales and Services decisions
  • Prepare & present data analysis for audiences ranging from field sales memberships to senior leadership
  • Data list management and reporting
  • Call out abnormalities and trends in data to identify business opportunities and best practices
  • Drive best practices and global standards around global territories
  • Evaluate and outline new sales & services territories
  • Salesforce.com (SFDC) data stewardship and enhancement
  • Dashboard and report creation and upkeep
  • SFDC end user support and training document management
  • New hire SFDC system and process training
  • Data management & process creation related to new products, features, and acquisitions
  • Process adoption, compliance, and communication
  • Collect feedback from the team for process and system enhancement requests

Skills

  • Patience to work with a variety of people with varying technical skill levels.
  • Fluent Salesforce.com user.
    • Must be able to build custom reports and dashboards.
    • Must be able to speak the Salesforce.com language in order to make recommendations for processes and communicate effectively with our Business Optimization team.
  • Excellent Excel skills. Must be able to perform analytics quickly on large data sets.
  • Understanding of sales process within OpenTable, or equivalent sales process experience
  • Proficient with Microstrategy analytics.
  • Proficient in Word and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to compose reports for use by sales management.
  • Strong problem solving, judgment, and organizational skills.
  • Technically savvy.
  • Self-motivated and able to perform well under pressure and against aggressive deadlines.
  • Capacity to grasp and learn complex concepts quickly and independently.
  • Talented multi-tasker.
  • Naturally curious about how organizations scale.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Extreme level of attention to detail.
  • Highly focused; able to execute on one-off projects as well as on routine tasks.
  • Clear communicator.
  • Aptitude for building strong working relationships across all levels and departments within the company.
  • Confidence in evaluating, defining and prioritizing projects and tasks.
  • Must possess business acumen, strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Ability to be highly productive with minimal oversight from management.

Requirements
  • Must have experience with both Salesforce.com and Microsoft Excel.
    • Salesforce.com certification appreciated, but not required.
    • Experience with external Salesforce add-ons (Geopointe, MapAnything, WalkMe, etc.) also a plus.
  • Excellent excel skills
  • 2+ years of experience in a sales, sales support, or marketing role.
  • College degree required.
  • Proven strong verbal and written communication skills; including documenting business processes, and use cases and business requirements.
  • 2+ years using data to make recommendations.
