About the Role:
In this position, you will be responsible for prospecting, onboarding, and expanding relationships with carriers. This is achieved through a blend of sales, recruiting, retention and training. You will work directly with other functions to ensure our new carriers are assigned to representatives and/or regions accordingly. You will also work directly with the assigned representatives and respective regional managers to assist with growth, retention, and capacity management. You will also be responsible for providing insight into and improving the overall carrier experience. Our carriers are the backbone of our business and ensuring their success is critical to our own.
We are looking for hard working, dedicated, proactive people who previous experience in freight brokering, transportation management, freight sales and driver recruiting. Our focus is to provide the world’s best driver experience and pay, while creating transformational value for our customers.
Identify and execute on leads to expand the carrier base
Collaborate across multiple groups to determine high-potential carriers
Schedule in person meetings with carriers and travel as necessary
Onboard and train new carriers onto Vorto’s network
Profile and record all sales activity within Vorto’s customer relationship
Work across departments to identify business opportunities
Collaborate with internal and customer leadership to roll out new initiatives
Responsible for organic growth and retention within portfolio of carriers
Meet or exceed the monthly KPI’s set by leadership
1-3 years experience in freight brokering, freight sales, driver recruiting or
Ability to identify and solve problems independently and effectively
Sales minded and mission-oriented
Self-motivated with proven abilities
Desire to build and maintain long term strategic partnerships
Strong organizational skills
Ability to thrive under deadlines and hit designated metrics
Proven ability to move beyond transactional mindset
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
Ability to master and implement new technology quickly
