Pie's mission is to empower small businesses to thrive by making commercial insurance affordable and as easy as pie. We leverage technology to transform how small businesses buy and experience commercial insurance—starting with workers’ compensation.

Like our small business customers, we are a diverse team of builders, dreamers, and entrepreneurs who are driven by core values and operating principles that guide every decision we make.

A majority of Pie’s current and future premium is expected to come from distribution partners such as retail agents, wholesale agents, and alternative relationships such as clusters and aggregators. As an extension of Pie, these distribution partners must operate with a customer- first mentality and share Pie’s goal for disciplined profitable underwriting. Our Business Development Associate role is charged with managing the success of these relationships within a specified segment of our partner channel.

    • Identify profile gaps, maintain accurate information, and obtain a complete understanding of that agency, their workflows, how they operate, and individuals who will influence positive outcomes.
    • Uncover users who did not onboard in order to convey our value proposition and elicit their buy in.

    • Utilize data to uncover trends, drive strategy and maximize attainment within the territory.
    • Collaborate with the Pie policyholder services, underwriting, marketing and development teams to develop, manage, and drive distribution partner premium generation.
    • Ability to forecast distribution channel premium on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis and ability to present actions being taken to correct attainment of goals as needed.
    • Live into your personal brand to establish trust and improve output from your partners who can be relied upon to deliver consistent outcomes through the relationship your individual brand has built.
  • Re-engage underperforming partners
