What You'll Do

  • As a Senior Product Manager, you will work on an agile development team to drive our product forward. This includes acquiring a deep understanding of customer problems, translating those problems into new product features and improvements as digestible user stories, facilitating decisions on which items should be at the top of the list, and continually re-prioritizing and refining the list. While you aren’t directly managing people, you’ll be a leader in the organization -- expect to guide our strategy and execution through persuasive communication with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Executive Leadership.

What We’ll Achieve

  • You'll lead requirements gathering, design, development and launch of our next generation Task Management Workflow engine
  • The Product Engineering Team will maximize their return on efforts, as you remove roadblocks and clearly communicate the problems to be solved.
  • Across multiple team functions, the entire development team will work collaboratively, even as we continue to grow.
  • The stakeholders (internal and external) will always know what’s being done, why it’s being done, and how the execution will be carried out.
  • The FORM platform and product landscape will continue to grow in functionality, which is exciting for us and our customers!
  • At the end of the day - as a result of your great work - the team will have complete trust in your strategy and roadmap of a core product.

Who You Are

  • You have 5+ years experience leading and facilitating the operations of a technical team, specifically around a technical SaaS application development with scrum/agile methodologies.
  • Bonus points if you’ve worked on low code / no code platforms or on products that involve complex workflow logic.
  • You’ve led a product as an owner before and have conviction in your how you build out a product’s strategy and roadmap.
  • You’re customer-focused – you prioritize staying close to the customer to ensure we’re building the things that solve the biggest customer problems.
  • You’re driven to take on the hardest problems, navigate ambiguity and are not afraid to fail fast in the name of learning what works best for the customer over the long term.
  • You’re results-oriented – setting success metrics and measuring success against them to be sure you’re building products that make a measurable impact on customers’ lives.
  • When things need to pivot or context-switch - and they will - you are ready to re-prioritize and make quick changes.
  • You can facilitate productive discussions with your team or business stakeholders because you can “speak all the languages” to understand and be understood.
  • You can share examples of where you’ve leveraged user experience design practices to build a better product: customer discovery, prototyping and usability testing.
  • You have confidence in your technical understanding, including things like object-oriented design patterns, architectural best practices, QA and testing practices.
  • You’ve got war stories from decisions you’ve made while building a product.
  • Mistakes happen - how have you gone to bed smarter?

An Insider's view of GoSpotCheck

What’s the vibe like in the office?

It’s friendly and familial. The people genuinely appreciate each other, and there’s always a friend found in every corner. It’s relaxed, casual, and comfortable. The teams are working hard on innovative things, and there's an eagerness to collaborate together to Do Great Work! Also - there’s no shortage of cute dogs to play with!

Julie

Senior Accountant

What kinds of technical challenges do you and your team face?

On our Image Recognition team, we tackle all sorts of hard problems in the computer vision space. I'm allowed to be creative about how we meet our goals. This is very important in R&D since our concept of completion can be fuzzy. The process of discovery often leads us to rapidly change our perspective on how best to solve our business needs!

Mackinley

Senior Software Engineer

What are some things you learned at the company?

Everyone is so smart, so friendly, and has such a strong work effort, that it’s motivated me to level up in all areas of my life! I’m more technical, have more business savvy, and I’m a generally more rounded person than I was 3 years ago.

Myranda

Technical Support Analyst

What is your vision for the company?

We exist to reimagine how the workforce works. We believe there is a tremendous opportunity to make work less cumbersome and more fulfilling, so we strive to build software that is delightful and empowering for users to complete their everyday tasks. Further, our goal is to be the top workplace in Denver, made up of the best and brightest talent!

Matt

Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder

How do your team's ideas influence the company's direction?

On the Product team, we are exceptionally focused on the user at the other end of the code we write. When we get together for our grooming ceremonies, you'll hear us throw around the first names of our beloved personas like they are old friends, not a faceless customer. It keeps us grounded in the idea we are writing software that people are using!
