Director Product Management: Product Operations
Summary
The Director of Product Management Operations is responsible for making major contributions to scaling the product organization. The role builds a communications, processes, and practices organization. The Director of Product Management Operations investigates, proposes, and drives the creation of best practices optimizing the performance of the team.
This is a remote, U.S. based role.
Responsibilities
Ownership
- Govern product management standards and create strategy for evolving the product organization’s practices
- Identify best practices and implement standards to ensure consistency across the product organization and improve impact of their efforts
- Drive product org processes and practices including formation of OKRs, Roadmaps, and planning rituals
- Develop KPIs and metrics with department leadership and guide organization towards achieving targets
- Lead organization efforts that deliver high business value
- Identify process gaps, make recommendations, and manage significant process improvement initiatives from end-to-end
- Prepare written reports, communications, and other materials required by the Head of Product
- Assess measures and understand business issues to brief department leadership on findings, insights, and recommendations
- Coordinate and facilitate team meetings
- Drive company culture and values of celebration, collaboration, innovation, and operational excellence
Influence
- Partner with engineering, product, and functional leaders across the organization to establish cross-functional relationships that build, define, and execute initiatives
- Build working relationships at the highest level of the company
- Partner with product leadership to manage complex cross group initiatives
- Provide specialized business insight to colleagues across the organization
- Actively develop team's ability to remove their own roadblocks
What You'll Need
Experience
- 8+ years of product management experience with a passion for product operations
- Experience scaling an enterprise product management team preferred
- Experience in enterprise software/SaaS industry preferred
Education
- Undergraduate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field.
- MBA preferred

- Self-motivated with strong propensity for action, results and continuous improvement
- Ability to work successfully in a high-energy, fast-paced, rapidly changing environment is necessary
- Ability to comfortably dive into any area of the business or product, understand business needs, and facilitate executive decisions based on changing priorities
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage multiple processes, programs, and procedures simultaneously to success while working under pressure to meet deadlines
- Strong data-driven and analytical skills with the ability to use data and metrics to communicate needs with ease
- Excellent communicator in written and verbal form; at ease working with all levels of employees including senior executives
- Proven ability to establish relationships, lead, and influence across multiple levels and multiple functions of an organization
- Entrepreneurial, with high tolerance for ambiguity and complexity, and the ability to be efficient with limited resources
Travel Requirements
- Up to 25% travel
- Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely, not in a Workiva office
How You Will Be Rewarded
- Base Pay Range in Colorado: $154,000 to $203,000
- A discretionary bonus typically paid annually
- Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire
The base pay range represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, and capabilities.
