What You’ll Be Doing:
- You will work closely with our team and customers to translate the wants and needs of our customers and candidates, into design features
- You will work in the Denver office, 4 days per week, and collaborate with our leadership team regularly
- You will obsess over the customer and candidate experience, to ensure it is a delightful experience from end to end
- You will stay up to date on other hiring platforms, to learn from best practices and trends
- You will work on both sides of the marketplace (both the candidate experience and the customer experience)
- You will work with customers and candidates, to constantly improve their user experience
- You will be an expert on our product, and work with the entire company to ensure they are also experts on our product
What you’ll bring to the team:

Experience
Experience in Software Design:
- Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in designing software, preferably in a fast-paced startup environment.
Portfolio and Design Skills:
- A strong portfolio demonstrating design work, showcasing the passion, design process, and the impact of previous work.
Customer-Centric Mindset:
- Ability to translate customer and candidate wants and needs into design features.
- Obsession with the customer and candidate experience, ensuring it is delightful from end to end.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Enjoy collaboration, feedback, and iteration.
- Ability to work closely with the team, customers, and candidates, as well as collaborate with the leadership team regularly.
Product Expertise:
- Willingness to become an expert on the Vangst product and ensure the entire company is knowledgeable about the product.
Adaptability and Growth Mindset:
- A self-starter with a growth mindset, constantly working to improve as a designer.
- Comfortable in a high-growth startup, capable of balancing multiple simultaneous projects and thriving in a fast-paced environment.

Occasional travel or in-person meetings with clients and stakeholders, necessitating the ability to navigate various physical environments and engage in face-to-face discussions.
Workspace Dynamics:

Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
*While formal education is valuable, we value practical experience, a strong portfolio, and demonstrated skills more than specific degrees. Therefore, candidates with equivalent practical experience and a stellar portfolio may also be considered.
