How you’ll make an impact:

As a Principal Iterable Solutions Engineer, your responsibilities include supporting strategic sales opportunities with account teams, closely following industry trends and direction to shape engineering and product priorities, and regularly evangelizing the Iterable solutions and roadmaps. You’ll contribute as one of our thought-leading technical experts with customers, at industry conferences, trade shows, and with industry press and analysts. It is a unique role for the well-rounded technologist at heart with foundational expertise in the marketing technology field who possesses deep industry knowledge and a passion for evangelizing. Our Solutions Engineering team is composed of Engineers and Technologists who take tremendous pride in maintaining technical depth and in playing a highly influential role with our customers, our internal product and solutions teams, and the industry at large.  This person will be involved with technology demos, product evaluations and competitive breakdowns.

How you will make a difference:

  • This role involves working directly with Iterable’s largest prospects as well as executive leadership internally – you will have an opportunity to make a measurable impact on sales growth as well as guide key company initiatives
  • Partner with executive leadership to optimize Iterable’s strategic directions on all things GTM
    • Deliver architectural presentations to technical executives
    • Drive tech stack optimization workshops
    • Contribute as a speaker at Iterable-hosted and outside conferences and tradeshows  
  • Serve as the lynchpin between CS, Sales, and Product/Engineering to ensure an optimized customer experience
  • Liaison to tech partners and agencies for executive alignment and integration scoping
  • Partner with the Marketing leadership to continuously improve Iterable’s positioning on industry analyst reports through briefings and relationship building with the analysts.
  • Lead COGS and P&P initiatives to help improve Iterable’s financial metrics while balancing our pricing competitiveness in the market.
  • Directly influence six to seven-figure strategic deals at Iterable by serving as the technical expert so connected to our customers' needs that our solution feels like an extension of their current abilities.
  • Work with Engineering and Product leaders to help define Iterable’s technical moat in the market and contribute to the broader product vision.
  • Build executive relationships with Iterable’s key strategic customers
  • Indirectly own the company revenue goal and drive strategic decisions to help Iterable grow

We are looking for people who:

  • Serve as a liaison between pre-sales teams, product development team, and external stakeholders, advocating for customer needs and providing valuable feedback to inform technical product roadmap decisions.
  • Deliver architectural presentations to technical executives.
  • Lead COGS in bridging the gap with finance (internally and externally).
  • Possess a deep understanding of SaaS architecture, cloud computing, and highly technical platforms.
  • Quickly grasp complex technical concepts and articulate them effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Guide technical teams towards successful project completion and delivering value to customers.
  • Dedicated to understanding customer requirements and pain points, effectively addressing them through technical solutions.
  • Be passionate about both technology and the business of SaaS.
  • Demonstrate strategic thinking skills mixed with business acumen:
    • Align technical solutions with business goals and market needs.
    • Identify product enhancement or innovation opportunities based on customer feedback, market trends, and competitive analysis.
  • Commit to continuous learning.
  • Have a diverse background and enjoy creatively applying that experience.

Bonus Points

  • Ideally, 8 years of relevant experience preferred, prioritizing candidates with a demonstrated combination of deep technical understanding, hands-on experience, and leadership in driving complex technical projects, showcasing exceptional technical expertise, leadership acumen, and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Previous hands-on experience with martech platforms.
  • Knowledge of cloud architecture best practices for vendors like AWS and Google.
  • We prefer coverage for the W. US states and these locations will be given preference.

The annual cash compensation for this role is $186,200 - $280,00 and includes annual base salary and target variable pay (actual payout is subject to the percentage attainment of specific sales goals). The total compensation package also includes equity, plus a range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and financial. In addition, we offer perks such as generous stipends for health & fitness and learning & development, among others.

Our Denver office sits in the Central Business District, just North of the Cap Hill area. Our building has a Starbucks and a Wells Fargo, and we are very close to some great coffee, lunch and happy hour spots! We are just one block away from RTD and Civic Center Station.
