Principal Education Consultant

 

As a Principal Education Consultant (AKA Enterprise Sales Trainer) for CA Agile Central (formerly Rally Software) Sales, you’ll design and execute innovative training programs to help our Sales teams thrive in a complex, strategic sales environment and a rapidly evolving market.  You’ll partner with Sales team members and leaders to identify, synthesize and standardize best practices.  You’ll manage and advance robust, multi-faceted training programs.  You’ll make and meet ambitious commitments.  You’ll be a tenacious warrior for CA Agile Central’s success.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assess the skill levels of Sales team members and design and deliver training solutions to target skill gaps and improve performance.  Training may include sales skills and methods, internal tools and processes, CA Agile Central solutions and performance coaching.
  • Partner closely with stakeholders, leaders and subject matter experts across Sales, our BU Revenue Organization and the the larger company to understand business challenges and changes in programs and strategy.  Design and deliver enablement to ensure alignment and rapid assimilation and application of new information.
  • Support the Sales onboarding program, assisting new team members in quickly achieving performance objectives.
  • Lead cross-functional, collaborative processes to determine need for, design and implement new enablement initiatives.
  • Identify and define repeatable best practices for prompt dissemination across the field sales organization.
  • Participate in the development and delivery of a range of enablement activities including onboarding, continuous learning and reinforcement, annual sales kickoffs, midyear meetings and other enablement events.

 

Qualifications / Requirements and Core Competencies:

  • Minimum 5 year successful work experience and/or sales enablement experience in direct sales including experience in an enterprise technology environment
  • Strong working knowledge adult learning, facilitation and instructional design principles and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of sales culture and the ability to deliver effective solutions appropriate to that environment
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional efforts to develop and implement solutions
  • Proven ability to break down large complex projects into a clear series of tasks and execute to completion
  • Ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively across locations and roles, including multiple levels of leadership
  • Comfort and flexibility working in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment with changing roles, structure and priorities
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Experience in Challenger Sales is a plus
  • Experience with sales intelligence tools is a plus
  • Experience in global selling environments is a plus
  • Experience with e-learning software and authoring tools is a plus
  • Willing to travel 20% as required
  • Bachelor’s degree required
