Technical Support Technician
Downtown Denver-based luxury vacation company seeks a dynamic service-oriented professional who is highly-organized and has experience catering to affluent clientele from around the world. The ideal candidate has 3 to 5 years of hands-on technical support experience and broad Microsoft and network support knowledge. The best candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft operating system, Microsoft O365 and application support.
Responsibilities:
- Provide end-user support in a mixed environment of Mac and Windows laptops and desktops for onsite and remote employees
- Monitor and resolve in-person requests for assistance from users experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking, and other computer-related technologies through a helpdesk trouble ticketing system
- Administer, upgrade and troubleshoot system updates, print servers, Antivirus software, Backup software and some Active Directory Administration
- Deliver end-user training on new technology and refreshers on existing technology used in the company
- Image new Laptops and desktops for deployment
- Identify current processes and work to automate and make day to day operations more efficient
- Support all-employee meetings by performing some A/V duties to support presentations
- Install network cabling to workstations and or between riser closets as needed
- Ensure that all MDF’s and IDF’s are kept orderly and clean
Required Skills: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
- 3 to 5 years’ experience working with Active Directory, file/print servers, Microsoft Exchange, WSUS
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a customer facing role, preferably in a technical customer support position
- Must be proficient in using the Microsoft Office suite
- Experience troubleshooting Windows 7, 8, and 10 operation systems
- Must have high attention to detail and great written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications: Candidate must meet the following qualifications:
- 3 plus year experience in desktop, server, or network support
- A degree in computer science or related field is preferred or 5 years’ experience
- Experience supporting remote users
- A+, CCNA, MCSA or MCSE, Network + certification, is preferred
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP and the 7 layer OSI model
