CONGA is looking for a Sr Helpdesk Technician/System Administrator to provide helpdesk/desktop support & maintain, upgrade, and manage our software/hardware/networks.

Candidate should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly and should also have the patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users.

Sr Helpdesk Technician/System Administrator’s goal will be to ensure that our endpoint devices/technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently and gets periodic upgrades without interruptions.

 

Responsibilities

  • Install and configure software and hardware
  • Manage network servers and technology tools
  • Set up accounts and workstations
  • Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
  • Troubleshoot issues and outages
  • Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
  • Upgrade systems with new releases and models
  • Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
  • Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure
  • Maintaining Virtual machines across multiple platforms hosted on cloud and on prem
  • Email security and server administration and monitoring
  • Manage incidents via the IT Ticketing system
  • PC deployment, desktop setup and break fix issues
  • Basic A/V support for conference rooms/meeting setups

 

Experience, Skills, Competencies

  • 5+ years or more experience as a Helpdesk Technician and 1-2 year as System administrator
  • Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management for Servers/End-point devices (Windows/Macs)
  • Experience as a L1/L2 desktop support
  • Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of SSO systems
  • Knowledge of system security
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communications
  • Possess a professional attitude and work ethic in addition to being well organized and efficient
  • Ability keep calm in unforeseen situations and come up with logical solutions to these problems
  • Excellent hands-on IT technical knowledge in Windows, Mac, network, Microsoft Office 365, etc.
  • Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
  • Communications: concisely deliver the appropriate information to the right audience
  • Must work well in a distributed team environment
