We are expanding and seeking a highly motivated and energetic Systems Engineer with a track record of success within the IT space to join our Denver, CO IT Operations team. Primary Objectives
This role is responsible for delivering world class platforms for both our internal and cloud hosted platforms. You will be involved in supporting & maintaining our internal systems hosted within our hybrid on-premise/cloud environment.
Major Accountabilities
- Working as a senior technical escalation point within business across levels 1/2/3.
- Working as a senior advisor within the team and business
- Ensuring timely delivery of projects and initiatives, keeping key stakeholders updated
- Maintenance, security, reliability & uptime of internal IT and Cloud platforms
- Driving continuous improvement within our systems and processes, including documenting changes.
- Automation & ongoing improvement to deployment of systems, infrastructure & software

Knowledge and Experience Essential
- 5+ years experience and success in a Senior Systems Engineer role or similar technical position
- Excellent knowledge of Systems Admin fundamentals – including Maintenance, Security, Networking, Backups, DR
- Excellent knowledge and experience across either Hyper-V or VMware ESXi/vCenter platforms.
- Networking Experience - Cisco or DellEMC desirable.
- Previous hands-on/production experience leveraging cloud technologies and platforms (Microsoft Azure Preferred)
- Scripting and language skills – PowerShell
- Experience working with security and compliance standards e.g. PCI DSS/SoC2/ISO
- Knowledge and support experience for the current/recent Microsoft Server stack:
- Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, SQL Server, Windows Server2012R2-2019, Windows 10
Desirable
Knowledge and support experience for the current/recent Microsoft Server stack:
- Microsoft Systems Center – DPM, SCCM, VMM, EndPoint.
- Microsoft SharePoint
- Microsoft IIS, ADFS, and other core server tools
- Microsoft Azure Stack HCI (Storage Spaces Direct) experience
- Scripting and language skills – SQL
- Automating processes and systems – taking the DevOps approach to repeatable tasks
- Software development and deployment exposure a huge advantage
