As the Senior Incident Response Engineer, Insider Threat, you will be responsible for developing and leading a comprehensive insider threat program to deter, detect and mitigate any unauthorized activity by insiders.  This includes building detection and response capabilities for data spillage, data loss, anomalous employee behavior, misuse of privilege or unauthorized access or changes in the environment, while ensuring individual privacy and civil liberties are protected.  This role will require building relationships with many different stakeholders throughout the organization to identify and protect Western Union material assets and data.

For this senior role, we need you to be well versed in incident response or digital forensics experience, and are looking for 7+ years in the field.  Candidates with one or more of the following certifications are preferred:  Security+, Network+, GCIH, GCFA, GCFE, ECIH, CHFI, CEH, CISSP.  You’ll bring a strong understanding and demonstrated use of best practices following NITTF, NIST, and CERT guidance, and an understanding of compliance frameworks like NIST, PCI, SOX, or GDPR.  You’ll also have a strong understanding knowledge of security architecture, system administration and networking (including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, SMTP, SMB).

Annual base salary gross:  $108,745 -$176,710. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the Western Union salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. The base salary is one component of Western Union’s total compensation package for employees.
