Job Duties and Responsibilities
About Your Role
This position leads quality improvement and organizational change management efforts across DISH and DISH's vendors to enable the success of DISH Wireless. A successful candidate for this position will be a results-oriented executive with a strong understanding of quality improvement, including process improvement, program management, and portfolio management who can continue to guide Dish Wireless and the vendor teams on their transformative journey.
What You'll Do
As the Quality Director you will lead multiple efforts with global telecom vendors in their work to improve the products and services of DISH and DISH's vendors. An ideal candidate must possess a strong understanding of 1) Quality & Continuous Improvement tools & techniques, 2) Software development (including Lean, Agile & DevOps), 3) Program and Project Management, 4) Risk Management, and 5) software development and capability improvement at a global scale.
Representative duties include:

  • Assess process, product and service performance to identify improvement opportunities
  • Develop and review improvement proposals to address opportunities for improvement
  • Manage and track improvement opportunities to closure
  • Lead and manage quality reviews of internal and vendor organizations
  • Develop, prototype, and implement KPIs & metrics
  • Propose, develop, and manage a portfolio of improvement projects
  • Lead and grow DISH's Quality capabilities and ensure alignment with key business needs and goals.
  • Grow the Quality team's competencies through successful employee recruitment, retention, training, and professional development


Skills, Experience and Requirements
The successful candidate will have the following attributes/qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from four-year college or university, and 10+ years of related experience
  • Demonstrated experience leading software quality improvement within telecom, or similar very large scale software development
  • Expert level understanding and certifications in quality improvement & program management tools & techniques
  • Understanding of software development lifecycles, particularly Agile, Lean, DevOps
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to present to executive leadership
  • Knowledge of Quality Management systems
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects
  • Experience as a senior leader in a software organization
  • History of driving innovation


Salary Range
Compensation: $157,500.00/Year - $175,000.00/Year
