Role Overview

Boom is seeking a PLM Specialist to join as a member of the Corporate Information Technology Team who will be responsible to provide application support for Boom's computer aided design (CAD) and product lifecycle management (PLM) platform composed of Dassault 3DExperience ENOVIA and CATIA V6. This 3DExperience environment is home to the design and production data of the Overture aircraft.

The  PLM Specialist at Boom is a strong technical individual contributor that is able to optimistically approach software application problems, effectively troubleshooting them and driving them to a resolution while providing world class customer service. This level of technical prowess and customer relations results in operational excellence within Boom’s PLM environment for the Overture program.

Responsibilities: 

  • Provide end-client technical support for the PLM environment
  • Troubleshoot support tickets and work with the software vendor to resolve issues
  • Perform application testing to reproduce software defects, evaluate procedures and workarounds, and validate new software releases
  • Creation of documentation, training guides, and release notes
  • Participate in program meetings as needed to identify new requirements and foster support for future projects to enhance and/or expand the functionality of the PLM environment
  • Actively work to improve daily processes
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Minimum of 3 years experience operating in a production PLM software environment supporting Dassault branded CAD and PLM software
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related discipline or 5 or more years of work experience in supporting CAD/PLM and related solutions
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills written and verbal
  • Quality focused and results driven
  • Works well under pressure 
  • Prioritize and organize job duties
  • Strong interpersonal relationships with constructive and cooperative working relationships with both internal and external clients
  • Technical curiosity and willingness to explore beyond previous experiences
  • Eagerness to dive deep into aerospace CAD/PLM solutions
  • A learners mindset, proactive/self-directed with a strong desire to improve
  • Google Workspaces, Microsoft Office Suite

 Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • PLM database/server/client environment fundamentals 
  • CRM (customer relationship management software) familiarity i.e. Zendesk, JIRA 
  • SDLC (software development life cycle) practices
  • QA (quality assurance) and software testing
  • Basic level database scripting for troubleshooting (SQL/MQL)
  • Business analysis, process mapping and technical writing foundations

Compensation: 

  • Salary Range for this position is $80,000-$110,000 and is based upon years of experience that is commensurate with the level of the position
  • Robust equity program with significant upside potential
  • Open PTO
