About the Role

The OrthoFi People Team is a highly collaborative group that is passionate about the OrthoFi Community! As the People Ops Manager you will be hands-on, and able to flex from strategic to tactical work while owning key functions of people operations. We are looking for someone with expertise in modern benefits and compensation strategies, a passion for people data management, and the ability to navigate the changing legal and regulatory landscape. The People Ops Manager will report to the VP of People Operations and play an integral role in ensuring OrthoFi’s People Operations function is innovative, strategic, objective, and data centric. 

 

Essential job functions include:

  • Serve as a strategic business partner to the People Team, as well as functional leaders throughout the organization
  • Develop and improve OrthoFi’s People Analytics to support our leaders in making data-driven people decisions while moving at speed.
  • Own the delivery and effectiveness of several core HR processes and responsibilities across employee life-cycle activities such as merit planning, benefits, compliance/policy management. 
  • Oversee employee-related policies, making updates as needed and ensuring all policies are enforced in a way that is aligned with OrthoFi’s vision for people and culture. 
  • Provide support, leadership, and coaching to HR Specialist, including support of payroll administration and processing. 
  • Act as a liaison between the People Operations and Payroll teams to resolve issues and communicate changes to employee pay resulting from benefit change events such as open enrollment, employee qualifying events, and new hire elections.
  • Partner closely with OrthoFi’s PEO to direct OrthoFi’s company benefits programs, including but not limited to health, life, dental, short/long-term disability, Flexible Spending Accounts, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), and 401K retirement plans offered through a variety of carriers and providers.
  • Partner closely with other members of OrthoFi’s People Team regarding employment practices and employee relations. 
  • Assist with the completion of HR reporting, compliance, auditing functions, and other projects and assignments as needed.
  • Add firepower to the People Operations team, rolling up your sleeves to help with office management tasks, team events, and activities.

 

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in people operations or human resources, including experience with compensation planning, reporting and analytics, payroll and benefits. 
  • Strong HR functional expertise; knowledgeable on employment law matters, compensation planning, benefits structure and compliance & policy management. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, business administration, or related field.
  • HR certification (such as PHR or SHRM) is required.
  • Experience navigating human resources M&A integrations activities is a plus. 
  • Strong Excel skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite products.
  • Experience with iSolved is a plus.
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills while exercising sound judgment.
  • You understand when to escalate an issue and use discretion with confidential information.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation: $66,077 - $88,664 annually
