IT Development Manager

The IT Development Manager will manage a team responsible for designing and implementation of key technical components of Salesforce solutions. This is a hands-on role that requires significant technical experience with Salesforce.com platform and related cloud technologies while providing direction and oversight to the global IT development teams. The position is in Denver, Colorado.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead & manage teams responsible for designing and implementing business technology solutions focused on cloud-based business applications, specifically Salesforce.com
• Serves as a technical SME on projects and enhancements focused on Salesforce.com - Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and the Force.com platform
• Evaluates technology solutions for feasibility and makes decisions that fit the constraints of the deliverables
• Direct involvement and/or oversight of developing Technical specifications, process flows, application design, application configuration testing, and administration
• Release and Environment Management including sandbox usage planning, metadata and data migration, environment comparisons and version control
• Coordinate best practices, tools and talent development across delivery teams
• Manage the production support for Marketo's global environment
• Stay hands on to be able to effectively code review, develop PoC's vetting new approaches and provide day to day input and guidance on the strategic platform development efforts.
• Maintain an engaged team with enthusiasm, energy and focus. Provide overall and day-to-day technical leadership and mentoring of team members.
• Oversee the software platform's advancement, including day to day requests, long term projects, and strategy in close partnership with product management.
• Serve as an expert on the Salesforce platform capabilities, architecture and functionality to the rest of the organization.

Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in SFDC development environment, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership role
• 3+ years' experience managing both onshore and offshore development teams
• Ability to work collaboratively with business partners, business analysts and implementation partners as needed to arrive at appropriate solutions and timelines
• SFDC Developer I and Administrator required; Application Architect preferred
• Experience with DevOps best practices including automated testing and release.
• Strong solution and technical architecture skills
• Ability to build trusting relationships and effectively communicate with all levels internally and external technical partners
• Ability to manage multiple projects and influence positive change
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred, Master's Degree a plus
