The IT Support Engineer must have an excellent understanding of computers (both hardware and software) and a demonstrated willingness to learn and apply new technologies. They must possess superior technical aptitude, written and oral communications skills and the ability to deal effectively with people in a wide variety of situations. Additionally, they must possess strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem-solving ability. Previous experience exercising high levels of initiative, judgment, and diplomacy required. Proven ability to operate in high-pressure situations, successfully handle multiple priorities and possess a high level of discipline while remaining flexible. They must possess superior people skills dealing with all levels of a team environment up to and including presentations and explanation of projects to upper-level management. Regular activities include network engineering and troubleshooting, project management, mentorship of Technical Support Technicians, data cabling, systems administration in a variety of software and hardware environments, telecom/video conferencing administration, root cause analysis in problem-solving and assistance in managing the daily activities of the department.

 

  • Provide support & training to all staff, including in-person support to Recurly offices, including but not limited to:
    • Computer hardware support (Mac)
    • Mobile device support
    • Printers/office equipment
    • Video Conferencing platform
  • Onboard new employees
  • Provide end-point security training
  • Provide triage and Tier 1-2 desktop support to staff
  • Provide basic network infrastructure support
  • Work with various 3rd-party enterprise software solutions
  • Manage and maintain documentation for end-user training and admin support
  • Track inventories and asset movements
  • Collaborate with other departments (eg: facilities, engineering, etc.) to ensure that office needs are being met

Requirements:

  • 4+ years’ experience in a full-time technology generalist position
  • Strong familiarity with Apple (Mac Book, iPhones) and Android products
  • Strong familiarity with Google Docs
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills (this is primarily an end-user facing position)
  • Basic understanding of enterprise IT including:
    • Server/Client
    • Network infrastructure
    • End-point security
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to adapt to change
  • Team-oriented
  • Eagerness to learn
  • Takes pride in work
  • Level-headed and understand when to escalate issues
  • Have a “can-do” attitude
