As the GM, Retail Data Partnerships you will be leading a highly impactful team dedicated to driving strategic value for our clients and for the retail partners with whom you work. Working cross-functionally with TTD’s go-to-market and product leadership, you will be responsible for establishing the strategy and business plan for retail partnerships for one of TTD’s highest priority focus areas. This will include initiating relationships with potential partners, assessing business opportunities, and driving the agreements, integrations, and executions necessary to maximize the overall possibilities. Expanding the capabilities of The Trade Desk via partnerships while simultaneously driving revenue and profit will be key metrics in the role. Key activities include evaluating opportunities, negotiating favorable business terms for TTD, and onboarding new partners.

What you'll do:

  • Establish strategic plan to optimize offerings for retailers’ business with the Trade Desk, and set and manage goals & budgets associated with this business

  • Develop priority partnership targets and initiate partnerships based on strategic planning, client need and existing or potential platform usage

  • Collaborate closely with sales leadership to align on priorities and objectives for partnerships

  • Build and manage a team to successfully deliver on the retail partnership strategy

  • Build success metrics for retail partnerships and track success against those KPIs

  • Directly drive and support team in driving optimal relationship structure for partnerships in conjunction with new partners plus Product, BD, Legal, Finance, and other internal stakeholders

  • Maintain regular communications and checkpoints with management and with partners to report on status and future opportunities

  • Facilitate communication internally and externally related to retail partnerships strategy (demands, strategies, roadmaps, operational requirements)

What you bring to the table:

  • 10+ years of experience creating and building differentiated relationships with strategic partners, ideally in the retail and optimally CPG retail space

  • Experience with contracts and vendor negotiations

  • Experience in digital media required; familiarity w/ data companies highly preferred

  • Excellent judgement & acute sense of self-awareness

  • Self-motivated problem-solver comfortable wearing different hats

  • Proven communication, questioning, and listening skills in formal and informal settings

  • Comfort with fast-paced, dynamic working environment with shifting priorities

  • Ability to build excellent rapport with internal (Legal, Finance, Product) and external stakeholders; strong teamwork is a must

  • Must be comfortable with complexity and thinking on multiple levels of abstraction; demonstrated use of critical thinking techniques

  • Management experience preferred; MBA desirable but not necessary

Our Boulder office is located along the 16th Street mall in downtown LoDo district, conveniently located a couple short blocks from Union Station.
