Position Details:

Responsible for the portfolio and cross portfolio of Singleview, Wholesale and Mediation-based solutions from concept to sunset. Develops and communicates the solution vision including strategy, ideation, releases, features and go-to-market. Provides ongoing executive level reporting and communication regarding solutions.  Demonstrates thought leadership, a strong strategic aptitude, great presentation skills, and a talent for building international relationships, navigating international travel, and fostering partnership with product management, sales and operational groups. Gathers data on new solution ideas and evaluates them for market and financial potential. Works with appropriate stakeholders to determine the investment and delivery of new Minimal Viable Solutions (MVS) or enhancements to existing MVSs.  Identifies and works with partners to facilitate the inclusion of 3rd party products or applications into solutions as appropriate. Works with Pre-Sales and other internal stakeholders to design demos and other sales collateral as well as ensuring correct solution positioning in the market. Manages and reports P&Ls for new solutions that require significant investment to develop and bring to market.

 

Essential Job Functions 

  • Understand and monitor market and customer need to identify opportunities for Solutions and create execution plans to capitalize on them.
  • Manage partner relationships and establish the legal and commercial frameworks required to incorporate 3rd party products or applications into new or existing Solutions.
  • Work with Partners as well as CSG Sales, Marketing and Finance to develop pricing strategies and strategic go-to-market approaches for Solutions.
  • Document and prioritize requirements; refine the Solution backlog and solution or product enhanvement and their launch schedules.
  • Co-ordinate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams within and outside of the Singleview, Wholesale and Mediation Strategic Solutions Unit including Marketing, Sales Enablement, Legal and Compliance, R&D and Product Management, etc..
  • Devise and manage Solution sales collateral in concert with Marketing and Product Management.
  • Create pricing and ROI models, as applicable
  • Co-operate Core BSS SSU Solution groups (sub-SSUs) and non- Core BSS SSU Solution groups to maximize cross-product and 3rd party leverage and ensure overall alignment and consistency of approach.
  • Manage and report on the overall P&L of key solution initiatives associated with the Singleview, Wholesale and Mediation Strategic Solution portfolio.
  • Overall management of the Solution lifecycle.

 

Travel/Location

  • Must be able to travel internationally and/or domestically up to exceeding 50% of the time. 
  • Location is flexible.

     

Education

  • Requires BS/BA in business or related field or equivalent experience, MBA is preferred.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience 

  • Minimum of 10 years operating in a senior pre-sales, business development solution or product management/marketing role or equivalent
  • Minimum of 10 - 15  years of experience in the communications industry, preferably in the software sector
  • Highly articulate with well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in matrix organization to deliver results
  • Confident presenter, comfortable with delivering to large groups
  • Ability to manage and be accountable for multiple, simultaneous work streams and their associated deliverables
  • Expert knowledge of the end-to-end communication systems and business support landscape
  • Ability to deal credibly across the organization from technical and delivery teams to sales and senior management
  • Ability to operate at the conceptual level and to clearly communicate complex ideas
  • Able to deal confidently with Solution Architects and other internal technical resources
  • Familiar with SAFE/Agile concepts and operation, preferred
  • Strong technical aptitude
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Jira, and Confluence
