Executive Assistant

| Greater Denver Area

Guild is one of Denver’s fastest growing startups - increasing economic mobility for working adults in America and providing education and support to help every student survive and thrive in the economy of tomorrow. Our education benefits platform helps employers offer education as a benefit to their employees, and our network of nonprofit universities and education institutions helps provide every Guild student with the right academic pathway to advance their education and career. In order to achieve our mission to serve 1000s more students and accelerate our growth, we recently raised a $21M Series B round with top tier investors including Bessemer Venture Partners, Redpoint Ventures, Social Capital, Harrison Metal, and Cowboy Ventures. Now, we’re looking to add an Executive Assistant to the team.

As an Executive Assistant at Guild, you’ll support the executive team directly and interact with internal team members and external stakeholders including board members, clients, business and community leaders. You will have a wide range of organizational and administrative responsibilities including coordinating schedules with internal and external counterparts, and arranging travel. You’ll also coordinate select internal meetings and events. You’ll be a critical member of the team, making sure the executive team has the opportunity to focus on the highest impact work while navigating through their meetings and priorities with ease.

A day in our open, collaborative workspace might look like:

  • Managing an executive's calendar, drafting emails, coordinating meetings and video/conference calls, answering phone calls, and solving other administrative issues when they arise
  • Managing relationships via email and phone with external stakeholders at Guild, such as our clients, university partners, and their admin staff
  • Taking on internal communication & planning responsibilities, such as supporting weekly team meetings and managing team events
  • Organizing and preparing content for offsite meetings, conferences, and seminars in addition to planning hotel and travel arrangements
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with teams like Enrollment, University Partnerships, Academic Product, Financial Services, and Finance to support the Guild team and its leaders

In this role, you’ll expand your expertise by:

  • Learning the ins and outs of Guild as you use your organizational, multitasking, and problem solving skills in a fast-paced, intense and dynamic environment
  • Implementing new innovative practices to streamline and focus our executives’ time and efforts on the highest impact priorities
  • Developing strong relationships with the Guild team and high-profile external stakeholders

You’ll know if you’re successful by:

  • Effectively supporting two executives through scheduling, coordinating, and solving problems so that they are in the right place at the right time, prepared for the conversation at hand, and focused on building a company that grows, succeeds and delivers on our mission
  • Managing relationships and events effectively for Guild
  • Achieving established OKRs and expectations while demonstrating your passion for our mission - you'll receive ongoing feedback through your 1:1 meetings and go through bi-annual Structured Growth Conversations
  • Bringing enthusiasm, flexibility, and patience to the role to a fast-paced, fun, and collaborative environment

You’ll join a team:

  • Focused on our double-bottom-line mission of changing higher ed for working adults and building a successful startup in Denver
  • From diverse backgrounds – from traditional higher education, to athletic coaches, to politicians, to startup leaders (and more!)
  • Of learners & problem-solvers dedicated to our dual mission of changing education in America while building a successful, high-growth company
  • Committed to building a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment that you’d support every day

What you’ll add to Guild – as an individual and part of the broader team:

  • Passion for our mission – Guild is pioneering a new path for education as a benefit in a complicated and regulated space – success means quickly and effectively adapting your expertise
  • Experience in a startup or similar fast-paced environment where there is frequent change and a need to demonstrate and act with a sense of urgency
  • 2+ years of experience in similar or related roles supporting multiple leaders
  • Exceptional organizational skills, flexibility, multitasking abilities, and a high level of attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with clients
  • Familiarity with tools like Google Docs, Google Calendar, and Gmail
  • Something else? Wonderful, we’re curious to learn more about you!
