POSITION SUMMARY

Balanced Health Botanicals is hiring a Demand Planner to join our team. As a Demand Planner, you will be responsible for all forecasting activities associated with customers and products. You will create and maintain forecast models for multiple product lines, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, finance, and other sources. This role leads the dialogue each month with key counterparts in Sales and Marketing to gain insights and works closely with the Operations Planning team to lead the Quarterly Executive SOP process.

CORE JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Responsible for the managing demand planning process for assigned business segments as part of the corporate SOP process.
  2. Works closely with Sales and Marketing to analyze quantitative and qualitative inputs to the forecast such as trade promotion plans, competitive impacts, new item launches, and cannibalization in the development and delivery of the monthly demand plan (12 to the 24-month horizon).
  3. Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast accuracy.
  4. Delivers the item/distribution center level forecast to drive weekly execution within the supply chain.
  5. Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast accuracy.
  6. Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions.
  7. Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Marketing and Customer Finance to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts.
  8. Collaborate with operations and inventory planning to develop a plan that maximizes asset utilization and supports excellent customer service.
  9. Monitors demand planning metrics and drive improvement for their business segments with the goal of continuous improvement in forecast accuracy and SOP Process Excellence.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, statistics, mathematics, economics, or similar field required.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in supply chain/demand planning or related field.
  • Experience in the industry or a CPG environment is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, effective inter-personal skills, and the ability to work with personnel at all organizational levels.
  • Knowledge of integrated business management processes.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ERP required (preferably Microsoft GP)
  • Experience with continual process improvement methods with a demonstrated ability to identify issues, conduct root cause analysis and take action to fix issues.
