Chief Technology Officer City of Lafayette

The Chief Technology Officer is a creative and innovative leader charged with developing and advancing a strategic and progressive vision for the organization's technology platforms. This key position is responsible for leveraging technology to solve organizational issues by identifying gaps and service opportunities. 

Along with five full-time direct reports, the Chief Technology Officer supports our 219 full-time and 500+ part-time and seasonal employees who serve our creative, diverse, and eclectic community. Lafayette is a full-service municipality and together, we provide police and fire protection, emergency medical services, water and water reclamation utilities, recreation, open space, parks, golf, library, street maintenance, building permits, planning applications, and transportation planning. 

The successful candidate will develop and implement a strategic technology plan that supports the City's long-term goals with a keen understanding of technology and business practices. Benefits
The salary range for this opportunity is $105,000--$157,500. Additionally, the City provides a comprehensive and generous benefits package, including 100% City-paid medical, life, and long-term disability insurance; vision and dental plans; paid vacation, sick leave, and parental leave; a substantially-matched defined contribution retirement plan through ICMA-RC (8% employee, 10.2% City);  recreation center pass and wellness benefits, and more.
