Ombud is seeking an experienced Vice President of Marketing to lead the planning, development and execution of our marketing strategy. We’re looking for self-motivated and metrics-driven leader experienced in developing a B2B technology category. You will be responsible for developing our messaging, programs and processes to support the strategic direction of Ombud. You will be generating market awareness and the engagement required to meet our growth and revenue objectives. As our marketing leader, you will be required to lead our strategy as well as rolling up your sleeves - serving in a hands-on capacity to define, execute and analyze cross-channel marketing programs. Reporting to the CEO, you will help Ombud build an execution- and results-oriented organization from the ground up.

What You’ll Do:

  • Plan, hire and lead Ombud’s marketing team, creating and executing a cohesive, cross-channel program strategy with tangible goals and performance metrics as well as partnering with sales to generate, qualify, and prioritize leads
  • Own and execute Ombud’s brand strategy; develop a strategic approach to marketing which capitalizes on our brand and image
  • Embracing an account-based marketing approach, activate territories and drive pipeline for our enterprise sales team as well as drive engagement within our current strategic accounts; direct production of sales collateral to enable enterprise-level deals
  • Collaborate with sales to identify targets for account-based marketing campaigns and leverage both traditional and predictive modeling to build highly targeted, prioritized list for sales
  • Translate your strategic marketing plan into actionable quarterly targets and initiatives
  • Leverage HubSpot and its synchronization with other integrated systems, including Salesforce, for lead, campaign, and program tracking, analysis and optimization
  • Own core marketing success metrics, creating and iterating on our metrics modeling and providing regular reporting and recommendations to our executive leadership team
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and sales to define key value proposition for our product(s)
  • Serve as a key contact and champion for our customer, developing a deep understanding of their needs and challenges, and representing their voice in everything that we do
  • Define public relations practices and activities consistent with branding and image standard, ensuring appropriate coverage and awareness as business and budget determine
  • Conduct ongoing market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for growth 
  • Oversee our digital presence, ensuring our strategy is current, relevant, and high-performing
  • Manage the execution of our annual user conference and participation of Ombud in relevant trade shows

About You:

  • 7+ years’ experience owning and leading market and B2B software category creation
  • Knowledgeable of and experienced in partnering with sales and possesses a demonstrated track record of developing and executing marketing strategies to consistently achieve corporate objectives
  • Highly analytical, with the ability to translate your marketing expertise and our sales objectives to concrete business recommendations and creative program solutions that generate leads and build revenue
  • Experience managing a budget and leading and scaling marketing teams to need
  • Experience leveraging marketing automation technologies (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo) and Salesforce to generate, capture, nurture, track and report on leads, conversions, and ROI
  • Demonstrable skills in strategic planning and execution of marketing initiatives
  • Experience with Analyst Relations and proven track record of leadership within Gartner Magic Quadrants & Forrester Wave Reports
  • Strong ability to communicate with senior business executives regarding strategy and analytics
  • Creative, high energy, innovative, proactive, and resourceful
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field; MBA preferred
