Our marketing team is looking for a contract Marketing Project Manager to help us scale to achieve our 2021 goals and projects. This role will work closely with the Brand & Marketing Program Manager to scope projects, drive alignment, build schedules, and ensure timely deliveries.


The Checkr Marketing team is collaborative at its core—working across the entire org to support go to market messaging, launch new products, define our position in the background screening space, support Checkr’s mission, and build on top of the strong brand foundation that we already have. Checkr has big goals, and that means that the marketing team works and iterates on projects at a fast pace. This person will play a key role at the center of many of our 2021 goals and projects. This is a great opportunity to work with a dynamic and passionate team at a mission driven company. 


What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the greater marketing team (Product Marketing, Demand Gen, Comms, Content Marketing, etc) on a range of exciting projects—from integrated campaigns, to product launches, events, and more
  • Manage multiple active and upcoming projects end-to-end by defining scope, timelines, milestones, resource needs, budgets, and deliverables
  • Assist with project and task documentation, prioritization, tracking, and reporting
  • Work with the Brand & Marketing Program Manager and cross-functional teammates to examine current processes and workshop ways to improve and implement changes
  • Partner in managing the internal calendar of upcoming marketing activities and communications to the larger org 

What you’ll need:

  • 5+ years of project management experience on a marketing team 
  • Strong organization skills, reflecting the ability to prioritize multiple tasks with attention to detail 
  • Track record of successfully managing projects both small and large on simultaneous timelines
  • Process-oriented but flexible approach
  • A can-do attitude, ready to jump in when needed 
  • Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including staff, and external partners 
  • Experience with Google Suite and project management software (we use Asana and are happy to train)


Nice to have:

  • Experience at fast-paced startup environment
  • An Asana power user
  • Experience with events (ideally virtual)
  • Track record of partnering with Product Marketing on product launches
