How you'll make an impact
This is an exciting new marketing leadership role responsible for leading the partner marketing team, creating strategies and driving activity to achieve growth and retention through our accountant and bookkeeper partner channels.
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, Americas, this role will partner closely with sales along with the communications team driving initiatives to cement Xero as the platform of choice for accountants & bookkeepers (our partners) and their small business customers.
You will analyze research and work closely with partners to develop marketing plans, marketing content and sales collateral. You’ll also drive demand generation activity, contribute to partner engagement and growth through education, events, digital and other activity reporting against KPIs. You’ll be a collaborative problem solver, who thrives on working with a variety of teams and stakeholders, as well as being comfortable with a healthy amount of ambiguity.
With years of experience at marketing software via channel partners, you’ll have proven expertise at balancing strategic and executional requirements. You are someone who is motivated by seeing growth outcomes and has an urgency to deliver solutions, programs and outcomes that can be clearly measured.
What you'll do
- Lead the development of partner marketing plans identifying opportunities to drive partner acquisition, activate partners and deliver enhanced partner value and engagement inspiring partner advocacy
- Work closely with the Partner experience, Product Marketing and Sales team and other key stakeholders to identify new opportunities including market sizing, addressable market opportunity, competitive positioning and work with third parties to identify appropriate solutions
- Build clear and compelling insights to help inspire and inform the business about segment strategy, potential and way forward
- Analyze and understand the market and create appropriate industry and solution marketing strategy plans including lead solutions, messaging positioning and campaign/content elements including customer journeys, web content, demand generation programs, sales collateral, educational content, customer case studies, etc.

- Achievement of partner marketing leads, market share, revenue, brand, utilization and NPS targets
- Strong engagement with sales, partner experience and other key stakeholders, driving a best in class partner marketing approach
- Delivering a partner acquisition and ongoing experience that reinforces our brand values and drives advocacy and increased engagement

Experience
- 10+ years of software marketing experience, with 5+ in leadership
- Significant partnership and channel marketing experience
- Experience working effectively with cross functional teams
- Ability to analyze, interpret and/or compare program results, market research trends and competitive data to identify market opportunity, key learnings, with the ability to make solid, strategic level recommendations
- Experience in SaaS and/or tech industries
- Aptitude to quickly come up to speed on new technology concepts

Total compensation for this role includes a base salary of $120,000 - $145,000 USD, commensurate with experience, plus an annual grant of Xero shares, calculated as a percentage of base salary.
