As the first-ever production artist on our small (and growing!) team your primary job will be to own our product imagery. This role is critical to revolutionizing the way we display and visually communicate across the entire business.

You’ll work with hundreds of vendors to acquire raw imagery; then edit, retouch, and enrich with additional metadata (such as smart objects defining each printable area and decoration method). Finally, you’ll publish to our eCommerce catalog for the world to see.

Being a swag company, every item we sell is ultimately customized with a customer logo and most items can be decorated with multiple print techniques. So there’s a lot of complexity (aka fun!) compared to your run-of-the-mill eCommerce operation.

We are building a design-first culture at Printfection. As of January, we have a new logo, brand guidelines, and some amazing designers to work with while building out this vision. You will have the opportunity to collaborate and build our design culture from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with our merchandising team to expand our swag catalog 

  • Acquire visual assets from vendors

  • Edit and retouch images to meet our brand standards

  • Define printable areas (add smartobjects) to make it easy for our team to customize items with individual client logos

  • Publish assets to our design system and ecommerce catalog

• Assist with other creative and marketing projects to ensure all of our marketing communication has stunning visual imagery (one-off sales presentations, updates to our marketing site, lookbooks, social media assets, 360 product spins, etc)

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in a high volume, deadline-driven production role

• Deadline mentality, detail oriented, tech savvy, passion for building things that scale

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Expert-level Adobe Creative Suite (Ps, Ai, Id) skills; including automations and workflows to improve workflow

• An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating relevant work experience (before and after digital retouching most critical)

• Self-driven: you own your job with minimal supervision
