Spark is a venture-backed startup with the ambitious goal of disrupting a stale industry. We are looking for a versatile Digital Marketing Manager to join our 12-person (and growing) team. Our ideal candidate has e-commerce experience with shopify and has marketing experience in a startup environment. 

You will be a key member of our marketing team, acting as part strategist, part analyst, and part product manager. The Digital Marketing Manager’s mission is to collaborate with the marketing team to define and drive how we make our business grow, and bigger than that, how we create thoughtful experiences to reignite the world’s love for cooking outside. You will work closely with the Director of Marketing to plan and execute our marketing and growth strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Heavily contribute to the creation and execution of a detailed go-to-market plan, including closed alpha, limited beta, and primary public launches. 
  • Conduct surveys, interviews, user tests and other research to gain a deep understanding of who our customers are and the market of options they experience today.
  • Help the team commit to the plan and creation of a best-in-class e-commerce website from the ground up.
  • Help the team commit to the plan and creation of a best-in-class mobile app experience from the ground up. 
  • Assist in the creation of audience personas that can inform all aspects of our brand and marketing strategy. 
  • Plan, execute and be accountable for a broad mix of marketing tactics, including SEO/SEM, paid acquisition, email marketing, organic social and more.
  • Recruit, assess and manage multiple agency partners, vendors, contractors and platforms/tools in order to smoothly and reliably execute on our strategy.
  • Project manage a variety of detailed marketing initiatives. Smoothly navigate unexpected changes and curveballs.
  • Manage budgets, including vendor/agency fees and paid advertising spend. 
  • Create and implement a structured process for A/B testing in order to continuously optimize our product and marketing.
  • Analyze key metrics that can drive our thought process around spend, targeting and segmentation, channel strategy, etc. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3–5 years of experience in marketing management or related role. 
  • E-commerce experience is a must. Shopify experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Reforge Growth Programs is a plus.
  • Ability to think strategically about our customers and our business. 
  • Ability to think analytically and own marketing budgets and KPIs. 
  • Ability to think creatively and maintain consistency in branding.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
