Digital Ad Ops Specialist

Job Description:

We’re looking for an energetic, detail-oriented and analytically-minded self-starter to help manage digital media campaigns. This position will cover the spectrum of our ad operations including campaign set-up, delivery, optimization, troubleshooting of campaigns, reporting and end-of-campaign analysis. This is a unique opportunity to get hands-on experience in the ad tech and outdoor industries, as well as the opportunity to work and grow alongside established digital marketers and leadership team.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Creative Trafficking: 
    • Have the ability to traffic all creative types (Video, Static, Gif, HTML5, Native, Carousel, Collection, Dynamic, Text Ads) across all platforms (TRADR, Facebook, Pinterest, Adwords, Bing, TikTok).
    • Understand UTM structure and implementation and their implications for reporting.
    • Properly apply click trackers across all platforms.
  • Campaign Trafficking:
    • Traffic campaigns across all media platforms (TRADR, Facebook, Pinterest, Adwords, Bing, TikTok).
    • Responsible for building out campaigns for launches during monthly/quarterly rollovers and ad hoc campaign launches.
    • Firm understanding of campaign structure, strategy and best practices.
  • Client Pacing & Performance:
    • Perform account level pacing for assigned clients for both spend and client goals, raising concerns to delivery leads.
    • Perform platform and campaign level pacing once a week, providing optimization recommendations and next steps to delivery leads on any needed pacing and performance adjustments.
  • Reporting: 
    • Own creative reporting within the Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly reports for your assigned clients. Provide both insights on creative performance and recommendations for creative improvements.
    • Across select clients help produce and contribute to the Attributable performance slides along side creative reporting. Provide insights on performance trends and recommendations on optimizations to improve paid performance. Final sign off on attributable slides will still come from the AM/DM on the account.
  • Client Calls & Communication:
    • Clearly and accurately communicate creative performance on client calls as well as owning communication across Slack and other mediums. 
    • Take clear, organized notes during client calls regarding any client requests, questions, needed follow ups, or any pertinent brand/product information affecting paid media strategy/actions.
  • Media Plan Management:
    • Add creative assets to the Media plan for your clients, manage creative folder assignment, communicate to the client on media plan adjustments and requests and update the media plan on asset status (live, paused, etc.).

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Highly proficient in Excel – adept with pivot tables, vlookups, and formula building for text manipulation and data analysis.
  • Basic familiarity with general web technologies used by ad codes (HTML, Javascript, Flash, etc.) or a strong willingness to understand them.
  • Strong data analysis, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Positive attitude, and a genuine interest in working in a startup environment and wearing multiple hats as needed.
  • Strong written and verbal skills, confident working with internal and external teams via email and phone; friendly, positive, service-oriented personality.
  • Analytical mindset that can pull and discuss patterns from data.
  • Comfortable learning new technology and programs.
  • Ability to apply marketing concepts to achieve business goals.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Aptitude for understanding consumer behavior.
  • Ability to prioritize projects, pay excellent attention to detail, and multi-task.
  • Function effectively under pressure and maintain a sense of humor.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Willingness to help wherever needed, and to encourage teamwork.
  • Work effectively in a diverse team environment.
  • Possess mindset for long term career and development.

Education & Experience:

  • 4 year degree in Marketing, Business or related field is desirable, but not required.
  • Passionate about marketing and data

The following qualifications will set you apart, but are by no means necessary if you have the motivation to learn quickly:

  • Experience with Tableau Software
  • Strong statistical analysis skillset, or experience in Statistical Software such as SPSS, R, or Stata.
  • Experience in managing large data sets, including normalization, blending and ETL workflows.
