JOB DESCRIPTION
The Content Marketing Coordinator assists with Vertafore's marketing and branding initiatives by helping to tell our story to customers, potential customers, industry stakeholders, the media, and more! This role is responsible for executing on a wide range of content, participating in setting content strategy, testing and using data to find new ways to engage our core audiences, researching and identifying content topics, and serving as an editor and resource on our brand tone and voice to other areas of the organization.
Core Requirements and Responsibilities:
Essential job functions included but are not limited to the following:
Write and edit copy newsletters, website, whitepapers, blogs, emails and other collateral materials, as assigned.
Support Vertafore's social media content strategy and engagement initiatives.
Identify and track industry trends, influencers, and topics of interest as they relate to key corporate messages in order to develop related content strategies.
Serve as an editor and Vertafore Voice style resource to other areas in Marketing and the organization.
Work collaboratively with members of the Marketing team and other across the company in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
Assist in maintenance of team editorial calendar.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong writing and storytelling skills with a passion for connecting with audiences; experience with multimedia or visual content development preferred.
Familiarity with creating content for multiple channels (web, social, print).
Experience managing social media channels for a business or organization preferred, including creating content, responding to posts, and tracking metrics.
Able to translate complex and technical concepts into easy-to-digest, audience-forward content.
Able to digest and integrate feedback from key stakeholders to ensure content meets goals and expectations.
Working knowledge of editing practices and style guides (ex. AP, Chicago).
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and a commitment to quality.
Understanding of marketing and communication theory and best practices.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex data issues correctly and clearly to both internal and external customers.
Ability to adhere to brand style guidelines for tone and voice.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Qualifications:
BA/BS degree in communication, English, journalism, marketing, or related field.
1–2 years of experience in a B2B marketing organization preferred, preferably in a software or technology-focused industry.
Additional Requirements and Details:
· Travel required up to 10% of the time.
· Ability to work remotely with a stable internet connection on an as-needed basis
· Located and working from an office location (when required)*
· Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds.
· Frequent repetitive hand and arm movements required to operate a computer.
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision (working on a computer, etc.).
· Frequent sitting and/or standing.
*Our offices are currently closed due to COVID-19 and are scheduled to re-open mid 2021.
