Our revolutionary, unit-level map data and interactive visuals within our SightMap, TouchTour and Asset Intelligence product lines allow both property owners and prospective renters to better ensure occupancy and drive revenue.
As a Lead UX Design Strategist, you will have the opportunity to be a part of Engrain's growth and dynamic environment. You will work across our entire organization ensuring the design and user experience of our products are meaningful, valuable, and intentional and working to create a seamless Engrain customer experience across multiple products and platforms.
What you'll do...

  • Work through complex UX strategy and design problems from beginning to end; translating data-driven insights into concepts that form ground-breaking new product features, and designing the detailed workflows and prototypes;
  • Lead and conduct research to inform a deep understanding of users and the market and to create company wide alignment and understanding of the current and ideal user experience;
  • Develop a deep understanding of the multi-family market inclusive of emerging trends, policies and economic factors;
  • Create designs and ux strategies that spark conversations and challenge the status quo;
  • Come to the table with a strong and thoroughly thought through POV on the design and product strategy approach;
  • Articulate complex concepts and insights through the creation of journey maps, information architecture, flow diagrams, wireframes, and prototypes;
  • Advocate for the user, leveraging research, observation, and data insights to inform innovative new opportunities while thinking holistically about the impact of your work on both the customer and the business;
  • Work closely and collaborate with Product, Marketing and Operations teams as we build, iterate on, and ship ideas and improve the customer and employee experience;
  • Combine with Leadership, Product Managers and Engineering to smartly and strategically drive, define, and evolve product roadmaps and chart the future of our products and experiences;
  • Collaborate with designers across the organization to raise the bar of quality and continuously improve the design processes, principles, systems, and tooling;
  • Mature the entire company's UX and design prowess, skills and capabilities working towards a future where user-centered design is beloved, reproducible and habitual;
  • This position reports to the VP of Experience Design.


Requirements
What you offer us...

  • 7+ years of experience crafting digital products and systems, not just websites. You have helped ship customer-centric products that tackle real human problems;
  • 5+ years of experience with the entire product development process; from problem-solving and system modeling to detailed interface, to prototypes, to interaction design, visual, and service design;
  • Design leadership, analytic thinking and storyteller extraordinaire - you are able to eloquently present the rationale behind your recommendations and navigate complex nuances of design problems;
  • A strong voice for our users and their needs through research, empathy, and understanding,
  • A passion for design that is simple, elegant, and focused on delivering creative, strategic, detailed solutions that always ladder back to user goals and business opportunities;
  • Experience with design systems, responsive design, and accessibility in website, application and marketing communications design;
  • Experience with design thinking methodologies and UX workshop creation and facilitation;
  • An ambitious spirit and ability to collaborate deeply cross-functionally including product management, engineering, research, data, and analytics;
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies such as SCRUM or Kanban;
  • BA/BS/BFA degree and/or Training in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or equivalent experience.

  • Salary Disclosure for Colorado: minimum base salary of [$110,000 to $132,000]. Final offer amount is determined by factors including years and depth of candidate's experience, certifications, and skill set alignment to the job requirements
