Gusto is looking for someone passionate about product design to join our team as a Summer 2020 intern in Denver. As a Product Design Intern, you'll work and learn alongside design team members, engineers and product managers, and apply your design skills to real world problems.

Here's what you'll do day-to-day:
- You’ll be embedded directly in one of Gusto’s product teams, working on a project in close collaboration with other designers and peers across disciplines
- Learn our product development process from early concept to market launch using a full range of design and research skills
- Learn how to use our design system, design with components and make recommendations for improvements
- Explore different ways to solve problems and identify viable solutions through qualitative and quantitative feedback
- Take ownership of your own projects; communicate, present, & share work in progress
Here's what we're looking for:
- Graduating with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the area of User Experience, Human Computer Interaction, or related field with a focus on design or research. Bootcamp experience is also welcome.
- Must be available for a 10 - 12 week paid internship commitment.
- Familiar with a design tool such as Figma, Sketch or Adobe Creative Suite
- Knowledge of visual design fundamentals including layout, color, and typography
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Self-motivated and able to deliver high quality work on short timelines
- A web portfolio featuring examples of your interaction design work
- Passion for Gusto’s mission and the impact we can have on the world
Bonus points if you:
- Have experience building designs in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
