Role
Sunday is looking for an organized and talented Natural Science Coordinator to join an innovative company that is making a difference in the outdoor retail space. As a Natural Science Coordinator, you will be responsible for the development of science-based content that is relevant, timely, and supports Sunday mission and initiatives. This role will help produce foundational lawn, nature-based, pest, and garden content and training based on the latest scientific findings. This individual will also assist in the training and management of the Sunday science intern program and support other intern programming needs across Sunday departments.
Responsibilities
- Gather, summarize, interpret, and communicate technical, science-based information to Sunday team members of all disciplines and backgrounds.
- Design and deliver internal training opportunities and work closely with social media, brand, CS, and CX teams to support customer inquiries.
- Assess existing product and content for accuracy and tone and address communication needs for short and long-term product development strategy.
- Work collaboratively with the Science team and other cross-functional teams at Sunday.
- Determine priorities and lead initiatives to enhance the integration of Science into other facets of the company.
Qualifications
- Degree in biological or environmental sciences (ecology, horticulture, soils, etc.), science communication, or adjacent fields.
- Excellent verbal, written and enhanced design and media skills.
- Ability to communicate with mixed methods to meet organizational needs.
- Experience with data collection, organization, and analysis of data.
- Skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously that meet objectives and program needs within prescribed timelines.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Enthusiasm for science, education, and learning.
