Installation Specialist
Parkifi, a fast-growing tech startup founded in 2014, is looking for a Installation Specialist to help oversee, facilitate and coordinate all aspects of Parkifi’s parking sensor installations. Based in Denver, Parkifi is using cutting edge technology to solve and revolutionize the world’s parking challenges with data.
The Installation Specialist role is a hands-on role, including managing day-labor, interfacing with the customer, and completing projects on time and on budget in a professional manner. This person will have the responsibility to accurately and fully install Parkifi’s equipment and inform management of the project’s overall status - particularly with regard to schedule, quality, costs and safety. This person will have experience working in construction and work directly with the Field Installation Leads to deploy our technology across the country and the world.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Deploy our technology across the world using various construction techniques including core drilling and proprietary adhesive
Manage labor and material costs to stay within schedule and cost
Work with our Field Installation Leads to ensure flawless deployments and impeccable customer service
Provide administrative and technical support, and management of on-site field personnel (day labor and electricians) and vendors
May work with design engineers, clients and labor/subcontractors to determine solutions for unexpected site conditions
Manage dynamic project schedule
Take personal responsibility for safety in working environment. Promote safety among peers, subordinates and supervisors.
Work hours will include a nonstandard workweek, reasonable overtime as needed, and various shift work including night shift work
Work setting requires frequent revision in work assignments
Required Skills:
Commercial or residential commercial experience - a specific trade a plus.
Quick thinker and problem solver with skills to resolve simple to complex technical and procedural problems
Knowledge of electricity and commercial/residential electrical components
Operate and knowledgeable about powerful power tools, including more drills and hammer drills.
Degree, certificate or extensive experience in engineering, construction management, electrical, and/or equivalent experience
Superior organizational and people management skills
Experience managing hourly labor
Strong communication skills- ability to articulate both high level and detailed aspects of a situation or project
Ability to travel up to 75+% of the time
Ability to work on non-standard hours
Drivers license in good standing
Physical Requirements:
Heavy work, lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 75 pounds on a rare basis
Stoop/bend/kneel/crouch/balance/climb on a regular basis
Auditory and visual acuity
Bonus Skills:
Electrician with experience running conduit
Paving industry experience
Coordination of large projects
Start-up experience
