The Vice President of Talent Acquisition is responsible for the strategic direction of building a renowned employer brand, operationalizing a strong TA engine, and influencing an organizational climate that attracts top talent across all global locations. The successful VP of Talent Acquisition has strong business acumen, has led through high growth, is innovative and strategically minded while supporting the execution of daily operational tactics. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the VP of Talent Acquisition will develop and foster a world-class talent organization that is respected and recognized for exceptional leadership, fueling a powerful employer brand, and driving highly effective TA strategies.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Lead, inspire and develop an internal recruiting team that supports the organization through high growth across Convercent’s global workforce (currently US and Europe)
  • Partner with Marketing team on employer branding strategies and techniques including digital/social channels, engaging with local communities, and building a reputation of excellence and opportunity
  • Develop and nurture talent pipelines to support high growth functions including sales and engineering
  • Refine and manage a full lifecycle recruiting, interviewing, and hiring process that is efficient and offers a positive candidate experience from first contact
  • Collaborate with leadership to build a uniquely diverse company where people feel a profound sense of belonging and Convercent is viewed as a diverse, inclusive and equitable workplace
  • Provide market intelligence to influence the strategic workforce plan
  • Frequently engage with leadership and staff to ensure alignment of talent vision and initiatives with dynamic people, culture, and business needs
  • Assist in defining competitive employee compensation and benefit plans that attract, retain and reward top talent
  • Use people-related data to drive decision making and develop key metrics to measure the quality of the employee experience, engagement, retention and recruitment effectiveness
  • Manage and improve TA technologies and processes to create a better candidate, recruiter and hiring manager experience
  • Establish trust and credibility across the organization by understanding the company culture, supporting business objectives and demonstrating partnership
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new employment laws and regulations; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • 10+ years experience in Recruiting, People Operations or HR roles with a minimum of 5 years experience in a leadership position in a VC backed SaaS technology company
  • “Emerging company” experience with revenues 20 million to 100 million and employee growth from 150 - 250
  • Strong knowledge and direct experience leading internal recruiting programs for high growth functions including sales and engineering
  • Experience working cross-culturally in a global business environment
  • Ability to inspire confidence in senior leadership and management teams through timely delivery of information, demonstrating a partnership mentality, and using data to drive strategies
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to think strategically, analytically and creatively while executing TA programs with precision
  • Embrace and adopt technologies to optimize initiatives, deliverables and results
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with exceptional attention to detail and diligence about quality outcomes
  • Clear communicator with professional presence and the ability to lead through influence
